The Children’s Tumor Foundation works tirelessly to advance research on
neurofibromatosis while supporting patients and families affected by the
disorder. A genetic condition affecting two out of every 7,000 newborn
children, neurofibromatosis causes tumors to grow in the nervous system and
can also lead to tumorous growths in other parts of the body.

An organization dedicated to research and the diffusion of information, the
Children’s Tumor Foundation undertakes a variety of efforts in the public
interest. The group encourages and funds research on cures for
neurofibromatosis, educates patients and their caregivers regarding the
condition, and builds public awareness of its nature and effects. The
foundation’s work has helped improve the lives of countless individuals and
hastened the day when neurofibromatosis will be a curable disorder.
