1. “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small
among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who
will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from
ancient times.” Micah 5:2
“When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and
teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be
born. ‘In Bethlehem in Judea,’ they replied, ‘for this is what the
prophet has written: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you
will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people
Israel.’” Matthew 2:4-6
2. “’See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the
way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will
come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you
desire, will come,’ say the Lord Almighty.” Malachi 3:1
“It is written in Isaiah the prophet: ‘I will send my messenger
ahead of you, who will prepare you way’ – ‘a voice of one
calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make
straight paths for him.’’ And so John came, baptizing in the
desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the
forgiveness of sins. The whole Judean countryside and all the
people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins,
they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. John wore
clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his
waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. And this was his
message: ‘After me will come one more powerful than I, the
thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and
untie. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the
Holy Spirit.” Mark 1:2-8
3. “Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of
Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having
salvation gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a
donkey.” Zechariah 9:9
“This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:
‘Say to the Daughter of Zion, “See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They
brought the donkey and the colt placed their cloaks on them,
and Jesus sat on them. A very large crowd spread their cloaks
on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread
them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those
that followed shouted, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’ ‘Blessed
is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ‘Hosanna in the
highest!’ When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was
stirred and asked, ‘Who is this?’ The crowds answered, ‘This is
Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.’” Matthew 21: 4-11
4. “Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared
my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.” Psalm 41:9
“But the hand of him who is going to betray me is with mine on
the table.” Luke 22:21
5. “I told them, ‘If you think it best, give me my pay; but if
not, keep it.’ So they paid me thirty pieces of silver.” Zechariah
11:12
“And asked, ‘What are you willing to give me if I hand him
over to you?’ So they counted out for him thirty silver
coins.” Matthew 26:15
6. “And the Lord said to me, ‘Throw it to the potter’ – the
handsome price at which they priced me! So I took the thirty
pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord to the
potter.” Zechariah 11:13
“When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was
condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty
silver coins to the chief priests and the elders. ‘I have sinned,’
he said, ‘for I have betrayed innocent blood.’ ‘What is that to
us?’ they replied. ‘That’s your responsibility.’ So Judas threw
the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and
hanged himself. The chief priests picked up the coins and said,
‘It is against the law to put this into the treasury since it is
blood money.’ So they decided to use the money to buy the
potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners. That is why it has
been called the Field of Blood to this day. Then what was
spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: ‘They took the
thirty silver coins, the price set on him by the people of Israel,
and they used them to buy the potter’s field, as the Lord
commanded me.” Matthew 27:3-10
7. “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his
mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep
before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his
mouth.” Isaiah 53:7
“Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus,
‘Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these
men are bringing against you?’ But Jesus remained silent and
gave no answer.” Mark 14:60-61
8. “Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has
encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet.” Psalm
22:16
“Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull
(which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). Here they crucified
him, and with him two others – one on each side and Jesus in
the middle.” John 19:17-18
Part Two:
Psalm 41:9 and Luke 22:21 spoke to me the most. These two
verses spoke to me the most because they talk about Judas
betraying Jesus. I could not imagine being one of the twelve
disciples of Jesus Christ and knowing that someone among me
would betray the Savior of the world. It is like betraying a best
friend. Jesus did no wrong and loved everyone he met. He
gave it all so that we would have the glorious chance to have a
personal relationship with the One True King. When I think of
Judas betraying Jesus, Mark 8:36 comes to mind. “What good
is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?”
Judas gave up his Savior for thirty silver coins. Jesus knew that
one of his disciples would betray Him and the Old Testament
prophecy in Psalms prophesized this happening. This prophecy
was fulfilled in the New Testament.
Part Three:
Yes, I believe that these verses prove that Jesus is the Messiah.
Each of these Old Testament prophecies was fulfilled in the
New Testament. The first prophecy spoke about a ruler of
Israel being born in Bethlehem. Jesus is the King and He was
born in Bethlehem. The second prophecy spoke about John the
Baptist. John the Baptist lived his life for Jesus and baptized so
many people in the name of Jesus. John the Baptist also talked
about the coming of Jesus and that was fulfilled as well. The
third prophecy talks about the Messiah arriving on a donkey.
The fulfillment is followed up by Jesus arriving into a town on
a donkey. The fourth prophecy is about Judas betraying Jesus.
The fifth prophecy is about the amount of money Judas betrayed
Jesus for. The sixth prophecy talks about what happened to the
money that Judas received from betraying Jesus. The seventh
prophecy talks about the sufferings of Jesus and how He
handled them. The eighth prophecy talks about crucifixion of
Jesus Christ. All of these prophecies came to be and that is why
I believe them. Jesus also lived through these prophecies and I
believe that they are true. I believe that there is way more
evidence throughout the Bible though of Jesus being the
Messiah. I know that Jesus is the Messiah from verses in the
Bible and the evidence given in the Bible. These verses do
show that Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus performed many miracles
that showed that He was/is the One True King. He was
crucified for our sins and rose from the grave to prove that He
defeated death once and for all.
Other Student:
. Micah 5:2 (NIV) “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you
are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for
me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of
old, from ancient times.”
Matthew 2:4-6 (NIV) 4 when he had called together all the
people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them
where the Messiah was to be born. 5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,”
they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: 6 “‘But
you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least
among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who
will shepherd my people Israel.”
2. Malachi 3:1(NIV) “I will send my messenger, who will
prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are
seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant,
whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty.
Mark 1:2-8 (NIV) 2 as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “I will
send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way” 3
“a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for
the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ 4 And so John the
Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of
repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 5 The whole Judean
countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him.
Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan
River. 6 John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather
belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. 7 And
this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful
than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop
down and untie. 8 I baptize you with water, but he will baptize
you with the Holy Spirit.”
3. Zechariah 9:9 (NIV) Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout,
Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and
victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a
donkey.
Matthew 21:4-11(NIV) 4 This took place to fulfill what was
spoken through the prophet: 5 “Say to Daughter Zion,‘See, your
king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt,
the foal of a donkey.’ 6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had
instructed them. 7 They brought the donkey and the colt and
placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. 8 A very large
crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches
from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 The crowds that
went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna[b] to the Son of David!” Blessed is he who comes in
the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna[d] in the highest heaven!” 10
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and
asked, “Who is this?” 11 The crowds answered, “This is Jesus,
the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”
4. Psalms 41:9 (NIV) Even my close friend, someone I trusted,
one who shared my bread, has turned against me.
Luke 22:21 (NIV) But the hand of him who is going to betray
me is with mine on the table.
5. Zechariah 11:12 (NIV) I told them, “If you think it best, give
me my pay; but if not, keep it.” So they paid me thirty pieces of
silver.
Matthew 26:15 (NIV) and asked, “What are you willing to give
me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him
thirty pieces of silver.
6. Zechariah 11:13 (NIV) And the Lord said to me, “Throw it to
the potter”—the handsome price at which they valued me! So I
took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at
the house of the Lord.
Matthew 27:3-10 (NIV) When Judas, who had betrayed him,
saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and
returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the
elders. 4 “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent
blood.” “What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your
responsibility.” 5 So Judas threw the money into the temple and
left. Then he went away and hanged himself. 6 The chief priests
picked up the coins and said, “It is against the law to put this
into the treasury, since it is blood money.” 7 So they decided to
use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for
foreigners. 8 That is why it has been called the Field of Blood
to this day. 9 Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet
was fulfilled: “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price
set on him by the people of Israel, 10 and they used them to buy
the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.”
7.Isaiah 53:7 (NIV) He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did
not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and
as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his
mouth.
Mark 14: 60-61 (NIV) Then the high priest stood up before
them and asked Jesus, “Are you not going to answer? What is
this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” 61 But
Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest
asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?”
8. Psalms 22:16 (NIV) Dogs surround me, a pack of villains
encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet.
John 19:17-18 (NIV) Carrying his own cross, he went out to the
place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). 18
There they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each
side and Jesus in the middle.
Question 2&3
Luke 22:21 stood out the most to me because with prophesy
was being fulfilled. Jesus spirit became troubled and knew that
someone that was with him betrayed him before breaking bread
together. Being that the Holy Spirit lies in those who believe,
that prophesy is revealed to us when we have been betrayed as
children of God. Jesus knew that Satan had got into Judas and
Judas also knew what he has done to Jesus. What I love about
Jesus the most in this situation, he didn’t make it known to any
of the other disciples about what Judas had done.
Luke 22:4-6 (NIV) 4 And Judas went to the chief priests and
the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he
might betray Jesus. 5 They were delighted and agreed to give
him money. 6 He consented, and watched for an opportunity to
hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present.
In my opinion, Jesus Christ is the Messiah and the prophecies
and the fulfillments are evidence that he does live. The death
and the resurrection of Jesus Christ in my opinion prove that he
lives. How they made Jesus carry his cross up the hill and hung
him, nailed his hands and feet to the cross and he took the
beatings for my iniquities. After all of that, he was still able to
rise in three days. My belief in the Messiah rest alone on just
that.
Growing up in church and constantly learning about the
works and wonders of Jesus made me want to know more about
him. As I attended bible study weekly and studied prophesies, I
began to see a lot of the things described in the Bible happening
on earth. Gen 8:22 “While the earth remains, seedtime and
harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall
not cease.” I remember the older generation stating that not
being able to tell season from one another is a sign of the last
day. 1 Thessalonian 5:2 (NLT) “For you know quite well that
the day of the Lord's return will come unexpectedly, like a thief
in the night.” Reading about Jesus and how he healed the sick,
gave sight to the blind and raised Lazarus from the grave is
more than enough for me to believe he is real. We as believers
carry the Holy Spirit in side of us. That alone gives us the
authority to heal ourselves through the Holy Spirit. Knowing
that Jesus is omnipresent, means to me that he is all was with
me.

  • 4. ahead of you, who will prepare you way’ – ‘a voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’’ And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. And this was his message: ‘After me will come one more powerful than I, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” Mark 1:2-8 3. “Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Zechariah 9:9 “This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: ‘Say to the Daughter of Zion, “See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt placed their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’ ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ‘Hosanna in the highest!’ When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, ‘Who is this?’ The crowds answered, ‘This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.’” Matthew 21: 4-11 4. “Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.” Psalm 41:9 “But the hand of him who is going to betray me is with mine on the table.” Luke 22:21
  • 5. 5. “I told them, ‘If you think it best, give me my pay; but if not, keep it.’ So they paid me thirty pieces of silver.” Zechariah 11:12 “And asked, ‘What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?’ So they counted out for him thirty silver coins.” Matthew 26:15 6. “And the Lord said to me, ‘Throw it to the potter’ – the handsome price at which they priced me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord to the potter.” Zechariah 11:13 “When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders. ‘I have sinned,’ he said, ‘for I have betrayed innocent blood.’ ‘What is that to us?’ they replied. ‘That’s your responsibility.’ So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself. The chief priests picked up the coins and said, ‘It is against the law to put this into the treasury since it is blood money.’ So they decided to use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners. That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day. Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: ‘They took the thirty silver coins, the price set on him by the people of Israel, and they used them to buy the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.” Matthew 27:3-10 7. “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.” Isaiah 53:7 “Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, ‘Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?’ But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.” Mark 14:60-61
  • 6. 8. “Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet.” Psalm 22:16 “Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). Here they crucified him, and with him two others – one on each side and Jesus in the middle.” John 19:17-18 Part Two: Psalm 41:9 and Luke 22:21 spoke to me the most. These two verses spoke to me the most because they talk about Judas betraying Jesus. I could not imagine being one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ and knowing that someone among me would betray the Savior of the world. It is like betraying a best friend. Jesus did no wrong and loved everyone he met. He gave it all so that we would have the glorious chance to have a personal relationship with the One True King. When I think of Judas betraying Jesus, Mark 8:36 comes to mind. “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?” Judas gave up his Savior for thirty silver coins. Jesus knew that one of his disciples would betray Him and the Old Testament prophecy in Psalms prophesized this happening. This prophecy was fulfilled in the New Testament. Part Three: Yes, I believe that these verses prove that Jesus is the Messiah. Each of these Old Testament prophecies was fulfilled in the New Testament. The first prophecy spoke about a ruler of Israel being born in Bethlehem. Jesus is the King and He was born in Bethlehem. The second prophecy spoke about John the Baptist. John the Baptist lived his life for Jesus and baptized so many people in the name of Jesus. John the Baptist also talked
  • 7. about the coming of Jesus and that was fulfilled as well. The third prophecy talks about the Messiah arriving on a donkey. The fulfillment is followed up by Jesus arriving into a town on a donkey. The fourth prophecy is about Judas betraying Jesus. The fifth prophecy is about the amount of money Judas betrayed Jesus for. The sixth prophecy talks about what happened to the money that Judas received from betraying Jesus. The seventh prophecy talks about the sufferings of Jesus and how He handled them. The eighth prophecy talks about crucifixion of Jesus Christ. All of these prophecies came to be and that is why I believe them. Jesus also lived through these prophecies and I believe that they are true. I believe that there is way more evidence throughout the Bible though of Jesus being the Messiah. I know that Jesus is the Messiah from verses in the Bible and the evidence given in the Bible. These verses do show that Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus performed many miracles that showed that He was/is the One True King. He was crucified for our sins and rose from the grave to prove that He defeated death once and for all. Other Student: . Micah 5:2 (NIV) “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” Matthew 2:4-6 (NIV) 4 when he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born. 5 “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written: 6 “‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.” 2. Mark 1:2-8 (NIV) 2 as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way” 3 “a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ 4 And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 5 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. John 19:17-18 (NIV) Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). 18 There they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle. Question 2&3 Luke 22:21 stood out the most to me because with prophesy was being fulfilled. Jesus spirit became troubled and knew that someone that was with him betrayed him before breaking bread together. Being that the Holy Spirit lies in those who believe, that prophesy is revealed to us when we have been betrayed as children of God. Jesus knew that Satan had got into Judas and Judas also knew what he has done to Jesus. What I love about Jesus the most in this situation, he didn’t make it known to any of the other disciples about what Judas had done. Luke 22:4-6 (NIV) 4 And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. 5 They were delighted and agreed to give him money. 6 He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present. In my opinion, Jesus Christ is the Messiah and the prophecies and the fulfillments are evidence that he does live. The death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ in my opinion prove that he lives. How they made Jesus carry his cross up the hill and hung him, nailed his hands and feet to the cross and he took the beatings for my iniquities. After all of that, he was still able to rise in three days. My belief in the Messiah rest alone on just that. Growing up in church and constantly learning about the works and wonders of Jesus made me want to know more about him. As I attended bible study weekly and studied prophesies, I began to see a lot of the things described in the Bible happening on earth. Gen 8:22 “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” I remember the older generation stating that not being able to tell season from one another is a sign of the last
  • 11. day. 1 Thessalonian 5:2 (NLT) “For you know quite well that the day of the Lord's return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.” Reading about Jesus and how he healed the sick, gave sight to the blind and raised Lazarus from the grave is more than enough for me to believe he is real. We as believers carry the Holy Spirit in side of us. That alone gives us the authority to heal ourselves through the Holy Spirit. Knowing that Jesus is omnipresent, means to me that he is all was with me.
