2. This one-day National Conference will focus on our youngest Service
Children (birth – 7 years) and their families. It will focus on:
 The perspectives of parents.
 Early childhood development and well-being and the implications for
Service Children.
 Supporting Service Children within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
 Developing an understanding of the impact of loss and grief on young
children.
 Share good early years practice.
 Examine how early years practitioners, schools, settings, local authorities
and other professionals can support them effectively at times of
transition and separation.
The Presenters include:
 Dr Janet Rose – Senior Lecturer in Early Years Bath Spa University
 Heather Stack – Early Years Education Consultant
 Lucy Scott – Education and Childcare Advisor Army Families Federation
 Child Bereavement UK
 Plus the perspectives of parents and practitioners
