Area Contest - 12th Oct’09
By Anuraag Awasthi
It was the day we had all been waiting for with bated breaths. The day of Area level Evaluation Humorous Speech Contest
and Humorous Speech contests. And what a day it was! Post Tea was the time for the Humorous Speech Contest. This contest also saw six ‘winner’ con-
testants who spoke on topics of their choice as under:
Manoj Pandey (Faulty communications)
The meeting room in Punjabi Bhawan (location of NDTM) was unusually fresh and welcoming. Ankur Lal (The monk who saved me)
And why not – for it had the privilege of hosting it’s first area level contest. And to channelize the Aniket Bose (Drinking is bad)
energy, we had none other than our very own Club president Rajan Bhatia, who had donned the Ashok Astha (Sandeep, the Punjabi)
mantle of the Contest Chairman. It’s not for nothing that we call him the humour king of NDTM. Devesh Trivedi (Bad Advise)
Roshan Suhail (Fun on wheels)
The day started with Chief Sergeant-at-arms T Mairal welcoming President Rajan Bhatia.
Rajan, in turn, after guests introduction, welcomed Division Governor Paul Holmes, who was Before the results were declared, Munish Bhasin ‘interviewed’ all the contestants in his inimitable
