Australia’s finest football supporter group….by the numbers
Let’s be clear, this is not a rigorous scientific survey, and
it should not be used as proof of anything. It was a quick
and dirty information gathering exercise. Here’s why
 Validity of Participants - There was no participant
validation, the survey was public, anyone could submit
one including trolls and rival fans.
 Validity of Answers – There was no verification of
answers, participants could put whatever answer they
felt like, trolls and rivals included.
 Question Framing – There were a number of questions
which were poorly designed, that’s my fault, it was a
rush job.
While I have filtered 99% of the homophobic, bigoted,
quasi-racist crap that our deluded rivals have posted, it’s
likely that one or two still got through.
That said, we got over 400 seemingly valid responses, as
a sample of 1200 or so cove members, I’m confident that
its pretty accurate.
