5. Revelation 3:15-18
Jesus to the Church at Laodicea:
“
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that
you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither
hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am
rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,’ and you
do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind
and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that
you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe
yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed;
and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.

7. what’s our approach?
We want to create and market a small body of literature and
social media with a consistent mission:
Gather
. . . to teach, equip, and encourage men and women
in the target demographic to come alive to
identity, community, and adventure . . .
because there is so much more!
Over time, we want to build a lean organization that can
bring this literature and social media to men and women in
deeper ways—e.g., video, speaking engagements, retreats/
conferences, and mission trips
8. who is Gather?
Jennifer grew up in the middle of an almond orchard. A former high
school English teacher, she loves to write—but she especially loves to
encourage people to seek and live out the truth of their story, their
identity in Christ.
Jennifer lives in the California Bay Area. She is married to Justin and is the
mom of their three crazy kids. She is also a listener, writer and speaker, in
that order. She leads women's ministry groups; writes an email/Facebook
devotional, Loop; writes at her blog, You Are My Girls.com; and is a
contributing writer at iBelieve.com, and Allume.com. She loves speaking
to women about God's heart for them.
Jennifer graduated from UCLA with a BA in English. She got a teaching
credential from Berkeley and a MA degree from Columbia, Teacher's
College.
Justin is a published author. He is married to Jennifer and father to
three awesome children. He understands the busyness that characterizes
the lives of men today and has a heart for helping other men build
stronger relationships with God, despite busyness.
Justin is also a co-founder of a small, early-stage venture capital firm
based in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, he did a stint as a corporate attorney
for the Wall Street law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
In addition to a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Justin
graduated from UCLA with a degree in Economics and Political Science.
