How do I complete Adobe Activation?

The first time you download an EPUB or PDF
eBook, you will be prompted to activate your
computer or device.
 Authorize the computer or device with
an Adobe ID.
 If you do not have an Adobe ID:

1. Create one on Adobe.com.
2. Return to the software and authorize
the computer or device
with the new ID.

Authorizing with an Adobe ID allows you to
download eBooks to your computer(s) or
mobile device(s) and transfer to eBook
reader(s) when registered with the same
Adobe ID.


What is the Windows Media Player Security Upgrade?

Windows Computers: First-time
users of OverDrive Media Console
will be prompted to complete a one-
time security upgrade for Windows
Media Player.
Follow the prompts to complete
the upgrade.


To save a public domain ePUB to your computer…

On Windows...
2.Right-click the 'Download' link.
3.Select 'Save Target As...' or 'Save Link As...'.
4.A dialog box is displayed that allows you to select a location on your
computer to which to save the eBook.
5.Select a location.
6.Click 'Save'.
The eBook is saved to your computer.

On Mac...
10.Press the 'Control' key and click the 'Download' link.
11.Select 'Download Linked File As...' or 'Save Link As...'.
12.A dialog box is displayed that allows you to select a location on your
computer to which to save the eBook.
14.Click 'Save'.


To add a public domain EPUB to the Adobe Digital

Returning a Book Through Adobe Digital Editions

1. Open Adobe Digital Editions.
2. Select the 'Library View' icon (in the
upper left corner).
The Adobe Digital Editions library is
displayed.
3. Under the 'Bookshelves' heading, select
'Borrowed'.
4. Click the eBook you want to return.
5. Click the 'Item Options' arrow (in the
upper left corner of the selected
eBook).
6. Select 'Return Borrowed Item'.
7. Click 'Return' to verify that you want to
return the title.
The eBook is returned.
