1. For my primary research I created a survey to find out what my demographic
audience would like to see in a music video from my selected genre. I used
social media as well as asking people from college to complete the survey
which meant that the responses I got were from the targeted age range that

For my first question, I asked what

the majority of my audience is. My
results show me that more than
66% of my audience is male.
For my next question, I asked what kind of
Setting would people expect in my music
video. The majority would have liked to see
It in a warehouse or house party. I asked for
Other opinions but the answers I got wasn’t
suitable to be considered.

2. For my next question, I asked which age range would
suit the genre I picked my project, the majority
answered 16-21, this makes my project easier for me
as I would just focus on what people my age would
like to see.
I also asked how they would normally watch a music
video to see where it would be suitable to upload my
final video; the majority said they would normally
watch it on YouTube. But I asked for other answers but
it wasn’t suitable to be considered. This result tells me
that it is best to upload my final video onto YouTube
for more views.
For my next question, I asked them watch they enjoy
Seeing in a music video, the majority answered live
performance or storytelling, I also asked for other
answers but yet again, they are not suitable to be
considered. These results tell me that in my music
video, it would be ideal to be a narrative music video
with scenes of live performances.

3. For my last question, I asked what their favourite
music video is. I received names of the song and
video links so I could watch the videos and have
an idea of what editing skills to use, camera
angles and how long they play each clip.
