3. Reasons why we quit on God
We doubt the power of prayer!We doubt the power of prayer!
• 2 Timothy 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve
from my forefathers with pure conscience,
that without ceasing I have remembrancewithout ceasing I have remembrance
of you in my prayers night and dayof you in my prayers night and day;
• Remember Jesus prayer in the garden?
• Luke 22:43 And there appeared an angel
unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

Because we believe what we are going through is
unbearable
• Job 2:7-8 So went Satan forth from the
presence of the LORD, and smote Job with
sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his
crown. And he took him a potsherd to scrape
himself withal; and he sat down among the
ashes.
• Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou
still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.curse God, and die.

We forget His promises
• Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without
covetousness; and be content with such things as ye
have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, norleave thee, nor
forsake thee.forsake thee.
• 1 Corinthians 10:13 There has no temptation (or
trial) taken you but such as is common to man
(humanity): but God is faithful (trustworthy),God is faithful (trustworthy), who
will not allow you to be tempted (tried) above that
you are able; but will with the temptation also make
a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
