•Graduate or post-
graduate degree in Library
and Information Science
•At least three years
experience, preferably in an
educational setting.
•Fluency in written and
spoken English, Arabic an
advantage.
•Proficiency in MS Office and
ICDL certification is a must.
•Experience in the use of
integrated library systems
(ie. Millenium)
• Must possess a Bachelors
Degree in library science
• A minimum of two years
experience
• A compassionate and patient
individual with an ability to
educate and motivate students
of all ages and aptitude to
collaborate with teachers and
other staff
• Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills
• Professional personal
presentation
• Good attention to details
• Excellent organizational
skills
• Able to work on own initiative
• Able to work in busy
multicultural environment
• Good time management
skills
• A Master's Degree or Post-Graduate
equivalent in Library and Information
Science
• A Bachelor's Degree in Library and
Information Science, or equivalent, that is
recognized by a professional Library
Association will also be considered
• A minimum 3 years of relevant library
related experience
• Knowledge of accessing and utilizing
information sources in all formats
• A high degree of computer literacy and
demonstrated competency using integrated
library systems
• Excellent verbal and written
communication skills and a demonstrated
competency to interact with people at all
levels of the organization
• Highly developed organizational,
analytical and problem solving skills are
required
• The ability to work effectively as a team
member in a multi-cultural environment
• A demonstrated willingness to engage in
professional development activities in order to
develop and improve new and current skills,
and to adapt to the evolving needs of the
organization
• Experience facilitating Informed Learning
(Library skills classes) to non-native English
speakers is desirable
