INTEGRATED SOFTWARE
FOR STRUCTURAL
ANALYSIS OF FAULT-
SLIP DATA

   T-TECTO is a computer program which
    enables fast and simple paleostress and
    kinematic analysis of heterogeneous and
    homogeneous fault-slip data using the Gauss
    method (Žalohar and Vrabec, 2007).
   The program is based on the classical
    philosophy of fault-slip data inversion which
    involves the concept of the best-fitting stress
    tensor.
In the Tools/Beds, joints (fractures), lineations an fault-sets the
following fuctions are now available:
Fault-sets analysis (parallel-faults interaction),
Intersection analysis (the wedge faulting or intersecting-faults
interaction),
Fault-sets and intersection analysis (Parallel-wedges interaction).
Determination of the maximum and minimum horizontal stresses.
Determination of the maximum horizontal shortening and extension.
Analysis of the relative vertical deformations.
Automatic optimization of the VGF parameters.
Visualization of the Multiple-slip mechanisms (MSM).
Visualization of the P and T quadrants and fields.
Cosserat extension of the MSM weighting factors determination.
Analysis of the reliability of the Cosserat relative microrotation parameter W (C).
Increased maximum number of faults (now with 2000 faults limitation)
T-TECTO 3.0 – the newest version of T-TECTO
In september 2009, the T-TECTO 3.0 has been released. Numerous new
functions allow a more detailed analysis of fault-slip data, earthquake focal-
mechanisms, various fractures, extension veins, disjunctive foliations and other
structures that form under high stress. T-TECTO 3.0 also allows a detailed
analysis of the reliability of the solutions. The new functions include:
•Determination of the maximum and minimum horizontal stresses.
•Determination of the maximum horizontal shortening and extension.
•Analysis of the relative vertical deformations.
•Automatic optimization of the VGF parameters.
•Visualization of the Multiple-slip mechanisms (MSM).
•Visualization of the P and T quadrants and fields.
•Cosserat extension of the MSM weighting factors determination.
•Analysis of the reliability of the Cosserat relative microrotation parameter W (C).
•Increased maximum number of faults (now with 2000 faults limitation)
The following functions and procedures are available in the T-TECTO 3.0
Professional:

        Stereographic projections of faults, joints and beds.
        (Paleo)stress analysis of homogeneous and heterogeneous fault-slip
data.
     Direct kinematic analysis - the MSM method.
     Cosserat stress-strain analysis of fault-slip data (inverse methods).
     Cosserat kinematic analysis (direct MSM methods).
     Modelling of shear stress, direction of block movements and
microrotations.
     Direct modelling of fault-slip (AmontonWin) in different stress and strain
boundary conditions.
     Stereographic projections of homogeneous subsystems of faults.
     Mohr diagrams for symmetrical and asymmetrical stresses.
     Rotations of the faults, beds, joints (fractures) and lineations.
     Analysis of dispersions between the predicted and actual direction of slip
along the faults.
     The Right Dihedra Method (Angelier and Mechler, 1977).
     Visualization of the Gauss object function.
   Other graphic functions in the T-TECTO 3.0
    include:
   Plotting poles to the fractures and faults.
   Wulff net.
   Tangent-lineation plots.
   Maximum horizontal deformations.
   Maximum horizontal stresses.
   P and T quadrants and fields.
   Graphs showing optimization of the VGF and
    inversion parameters.
   T-TECTO is being developed at Faculty of
    Natural Sciences and Engineering in Ljubljana
    (Slovenia). The program is provided free of
    charge for academic, non-profit use.
