Acerca de
I am an Associate Professor and scientist interested in ABC transporters. The focus of my research is the genetic disease Pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE). We have discovered novel mutations associated with PXE using Roche 454 sequencing. My laboratory currently has 4 members who are validating modifier gene SNPs in PXE patients.
I am also interested in education research and have presented numerous faculty development sessions at the Bethesda Lilly Conference on Teaching and Learning and at other National Meetings. I make rather cool PowerPoint presentations - see SlideShare and enjoy presenting my work at conferences, reading, cooking and traveling.
