   pastoral poem.

              that concerns
           itself with simple
Pastoral     life of country
                 folk and
 Poem         describes that
             life in stylized,
            idealized terms.
Characters are
              shepherds or
Pastoral   eople involved in
            tending to basic
 Poem      human needs in
               a simplified
                  society.
the language of
                 pastoral is
           informal and fairly
Pastoral     simple, although
            always a bit more
 Poem       sophisticated than
                that of real
                 shepherds

POETIC STRUCTURE:

       UNDESCRIBED
          WOMAN
The poem is divided into
      three parts:
       Stanza 1~Stanza 2
   The speaker hopes his love
   to live with him and enjoy
    the beauty of the nature.
The poem is divided into
      three parts:
       Stanza 3-Stanza 5
      The speaker makes
    many things to please
    and persuade his love.
The poem is divided into
      three parts:
               Stanza 6
    The speaker presents one last
     imagery—that of young men
  singing and dancing in love if the
       lady accepts his proposal.
