Packages are physical container in which you put one or several product. In Odoo, by default it does not take into account the use of it. Odoo have the possibility to deliver your products in different packages, depending on the volume and or weight of your products.

packages in the inventory module
3. Go to inventory module, Configuration--> Settings
Under the operations tab , tick the check box against the Delivery Pack
Also one need to enable the tracabitlity feature in odoo inventory
to use the tracking of the products.
