In past years in world an extensive research and development work is being done to ensure information technology use in agriculture; long range wireless sensor network (WSN) creation for specific agricultural use. Existing WSN solutions are in experimental development phase; their implementations is not possible without the specific WSN technology developers’ assistance and they have a short working range (ability to guarantee communication between sensors only at a range of several tens of meters); therefore their implementation in large area is very expensive. Realistic WSN implementation is unthinkable without specific WSN technology that includes physical nodes, sensors, operating system, application programming environment, competence centre support. The paper describes new long distance RFID based technology implementation - VLIT NODE.

Spatial planning systems, the legal situation and spatial planning data management are completely different and fragmented throughout Europe. Nevertheless, planning is a holistic activity. All tasks and processes must be solved comprehensively with input from various sources. It is necessary to make inputs interoperable because it allows the user to search data from different sources, view them, download them and use them with help of geoinformation technologies (GIT).

This paper defines vision for a farm of tomorrow and adoption of knowledge management system in the farm, which still has to be designed and developed by common farms and also farms of the future. The main focus of this vision is on integration among different levels of farm management systems and on requirements designed from analyses of external drivers. They will have a big influence on farm production in the future; using knowledge management and direction on future agriculture development in crop production. The report defines three levels of farm management. The proposed architecture is based on communication of interoperable services, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), for easy integration of different levels and components of farm management. The most important decision has to be provided by decision supporting system on the farm level. New methods of knowledge management are demonstrated on pilot models implemented on the base of Future Farm vision by the COIN project. As political consequences and conclusion is current working document Cologne agenda prepared as a basis for future activities supported by agriXchange initiative.

Precision Farming (PF) is introduced and history in short is reviewed. Essential activities of GPS locating, soil mapping, GIS dataprocessing and presentation and VRT application are described. Basic principles of PF are shown to be: • Precision Farming is the management process of within-field variability. • This management must bring profit or at least reduce the risk of loss • This management must reduce the impact of farming on environment. Techniques used in Precision Farming are described. Economics of Precision Farming is discussed. A general cost/benefit analysis and profitability of PF are reviewed. The price of PF adoption facing a farmer is discussed. Methods of process analysis and activity based costing are shown as useful instruments for PF process analysis and model building. PF process is analysed and process graph is developed.

However, as data structures from the source files change over time, it can be very time consuming to modify the data structure in the warehouse itself. Additionally, for the large groups of SAS datasets that are typical for a clinical trial, the out-of-the-box load times can be quite long, as the data is loaded one set at a time. Perficient has the answer. In this webinar, we discussed and demonstrated an autoloader tool that greatly simplifies the data loading process for LSH. We showed how the autoloader can automatically load files, detect metadata changes, upgrade target structures, and load data, all with no human intervention. In addition, we demonstrated how Perficient’s autoloader tool can load multiple datasets in parallel to minimize load times.

ILOSTAT, the new database of labour statistics, is the result after a process of redesigning the department’s approach for all its data compilation activities that included not only the development of new applications using updated and appropriate tools to achieve the required functionality, but also changes in the procedures for data compilation, data process and dissemination. During the design and development of the new system, we found different “types” of metadata, according to their usage and role in the statistical production process. The main types of metadata that could be identified in the process were as follows: - System parameters, often called “paradata” - Metadata used for table configuration, both for collection and/or dissemination - Descriptive metadata for the data being collected/disseminated - Descriptive metadata for the primary sources of the derived indicators collected - External resources related to the statistical production process, especially in the primary compilation - Workflow control information about the statistical process Each one of these types of metadata adds value to the data itself, and therefore is crucial information for the correct interpretation of the figures. In this presentation we are going to see how each of them is related to the phases of the Generic Statistical Business Process Model (GSBPM) and which specific tools and procedures have been implemented in ILOSTAT to deal with them in the different modules of the statistical information system.

It combines memory safety and concurrency to create an independent, modular, and embeddable rendering engine that adheres to web standards. Stewardship of Servo moved from Mozilla Research to the Linux Foundation in 2020, where its mission remains unchanged. After some slow years, in 2023 there has been renewed activity on the project, with a roadmap now focused on improving the engine’s CSS 2 conformance, exploring Android support, and making Servo a practical embeddable rendering engine.
