 Cement is key infrastructure industry

 INDIA is the second largest cement producer in the world.

The cement industry comprises of 130 large cement plants with an      installed
capacity of 148.28 million tones

 The export of cement during 2007-2008 and 2010-2011 was 5.14 million tones
and 6.92 million tones respectively. Export during April-May, 2009 was 1.35 million
tones. Major exporters were Gujarat Abuja Cement Ltd.

NEED OF STUDY


Stress has become common in today work life.
management of stress effectively is the need of
the hour.
Hence the study has been under taken to find
out the employees perception regarding work
stress at zuari cements Ltd and what changes
that they would like to have.
Limitations of the study


•Due to tight schedule of the employees, they could not spend
more time.


• The data collected from respondents may be biased. Due to lack of
adequate time to be spent on filling questionnaire.

51.25% OF EMPLOYEES STRONGLY AGREE THAT WORK
STRESS MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES WILL IMPROVE THE
CONFIDENCE OF THE EMPLOYEES
FINDINGS
   37.5% of the employees among the total employees in the
    organization are undergoing stress.

   68.75% of the employee facing interpersonal relationship
    problems and only 2.5% of the employees facing work load
    problems.

   43.75% of employees facing stress in both home place and
    work place and only 18.75%of the employees facing stress at
    work place.

   51.25% of employees strongly agree that the work stress
    management techniques will improves the confidence of the
    employees.
CONT……
   40% of employees agree that physical environment
    problem in the work place caused stress in them.

   56.25% of employees agree that lack of
    communication causes stress.
SUGGESTIONS

   The company should provide frequent counseling to the
    employees in order to over come stress.

   The counseling should be focused on building up
    interpersonal relationship between the employees and
    superiors.

   Company should implement certain changes in order to over
    come stress in the work place such as flexible work
    hours, work load and periodic relaxation.

   Stress through lack of communication can be overcome
    through get to gathers, birthday parties, recreational
    tours that are been conducted by the organization.
