rain was heavy enough to cause a delay during the first quarter, with fans directed to seek shelter below the
overhanging decks.

rushed for a total of 134 yards over 18 carries for the 30-21 Gorilla win.

January 29, 2013. Weather during the first few
weeks of classes has varied dramatically, leaving
most students unprepared for events such as this
torrential downpour which swept over the
campus and surrounding city of Pittsburg, Kansas.

11. Amber Hawk's July 14, 2012 post-run cool down session is interrupted by a nip from her rescued
puppy, Jethro. The labrador mix was found on Fort Campbell, Kentucky by her husband, Sgt. First
Class James Hawk, who brought him home to their nearby Oak Grove residence.

12. On Thursday Sept. 6, 2012, an employee

in downtown Pittsburg, Kansas announcing
cancellation of a film honoring the national
champion Pittsburg State University
football team from their 2011 season. This
and other planned outdoor events as part
of the city's annual "Paint the Town Red"
celebration, were cancelled due to rain
forecasted for Friday.

represents a two decades long family tradition.

Friday, March 1, 2013. Temperatures sat just at freezing as hundreds of people arrived in pre-dawn hours to
get prime spots along the river’s edge.

16. A strong line of storms moves through Oak Grove, Kentucky on the evening of July 19, 2012. Thick
clouds flashing lightening were visible from the back deck of the Hawk residence in this small
residential development of Oak Grove, just northeast of Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

17. A squirrel sits on the backyard fence of the Allen home in Enterprise, Alabama on January 6, 2013.
According to the Allens, this female squirrel is a frequent visitor to their yard, digging for
something to eat over the winter months.

venue seats up to 9,450 guests and is located in Red Rocks Park, part of the Denver Mountain Parks
system.

21. Veterans dealing with Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder often struggle with a range of extreme
emotions, from despair to rage. The separation
from their lives in the military can prove to be
challenging when adapting to the outside world,
even to their own families.

22. Todd Casey, golf pro and manager at Crestwood
Country Club in Pittsburg, Kansas, takes a few
spare moments to practice putting next to the
clubhouse on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Mr. Casey
has been playing professionally for more than
two decades, and though a member of the PGA,
he says he only competes at non-tour and club-
professional events.

Clinton Romesha, Thursday, April 25, 2013,
at the Pittsburg Veterans Memorial in
Pittsburg, Kansas.
