What is Monotheism
The term monotheism comes from two Greek words, namely:
Monos – meaning alone, single, one
Theos - meaning God
The term monotheism is based on the belief that there is only one God.

Anti-Monotheistic Beliefs
Atheist - one who denies the existence of God.
Agnostic - one who asserts that the existence of God is unknown and
probably unknowable.
Pantheist - one who equates God with nature or the forces of the
universe
Polytheist - one who believes in more than one God
• Ditheism - the belief in two gods
• Tritheism - the belief in three gods

Different Viewpoints of the Godhead
Trinitarianism - asserts that there are three distinct persons in the
Godhead: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy
Binitarianism – the Holy Ghost is not separate, therefore there are two
person in the Godhead.
Monotheism – believes in one true God

Two Categories of Monotheistic Believers
Group one: this group relegated Jesus to the position of a created god,
subordinate god, junior god, or demigod
Group two – this group believes in one God , but further believes that
the fullness of the Godhead is manifested in Jesus Christ (Colossians
2:9). This group often describe themselves as either Oneness, One God,
Jesus Name, Jesus Only etc.

Conclusion
The one god message is clearly monotheistic through the
entire bible. God intend for man to worship him alone by
calling out Abraham Gen 12:1-8. God always chastise Israel
whenever they seek after false gods Acts 7:43.
