ß 1. Estimate the average number of Database bytes per second traffic that the Hacker received
during the Open_Network run.

2. Estimate the average number of Database bytes per second traffic that the Hacker received
during the VPN_with_Firewall run.

3. Now compare the two values. Did the VPN_with_Firewall affect the ability of the Hacker to
receive Database bytes per second traffic?

ß 4. Estimate the average number of HTTP bytes per second traffic that the Online Shopper
received during the Open_Network run.

5. Estimate the average number of HTTP bytes per second traffic that the Online Shopper
received during the VPN_with_Firewall run.

6. Now compare the two values. Did the VPN_with_Firewall affect the ability of the Online
Shopper to receive HTTP bytes per second traffic?

7. Estimate the average time that it takes to download a Web page for the Online Shopper during
the Open_Network run.

   8. Estimate the average time that it takes to download a Web page for the Online Shopper
during the VPN_with_Firewall run.

ß 9. Now compare the two values. Did the VPN_with_Firewall increase the time that it took for
the Online Shopper to download web pages from the company server? If so, how much longer
did it take in seconds (or milliseconds)?

10. Estimate the average number of Database bytes per second traffic that the VO Engineer
received during the Open_Network run.

   11. Estimate the average number of Database bytes per second traffic that the VO Engineer
received during the VPN_with_Firewall run.

12. Now compare the two values. Did VPN_with_Firewall affect the ability of the VO Engineer
to receive Database bytes per second traffic?
13. Estimate the average time that it takes to download Database traffic for the VO Engineer
during the Open_Network run.

14. Estimate the average time that it takes to download Database traffic for the VO Engineer
during the VPN_with_Firewall run.

15. Now compare the two values. Did VPN_with_Firewall increase the time that it took for the
VO Engineer to download Database traffic from the company server? If so, how much longer did
it take in seconds (or milliseconds)?

   16. Estimate the average number of Http bytes per second traffic that the VO Engineer
received during the Open_Network run.

17. Estimate the average number of Http bytes per second traffic that the VO Engineer received
during the VPN_with_Firewall run.

18. Now, compare the two values. Did VPN_with_Firewall increase the time that it took for the
VO Engineer to download web pages from the company server? If so, how much longer did it
take in seconds (or milliseconds)?

19.

Write a one to two page Word document that answers the following: Did the VPN with Fire
Security Performance solution accomplish these goals? What are some of the advantages and
disadvantages to implementing the VPN with Firewall solution? To help support your analysis,
you should reference some of your answers from the required Lab Question section. In addition,
you must import a minimum of two graphs that you obtained during this lab to help support your
conclusions.
