E-COURTS PROJECT
THE E-JUDICIARY SYSTEM This system will computerize, record the judicial information and monitor the progress of cases form the time the case is registered, till it is disposed off with judgment.  It will also group similar law points, court rules, similar cases and related acts An e-Judiciary service may be implemented as a distributed online web system.

The e-Court project was approved by CCEA (Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs) in 2007. The total cost of this project has been estimated to be Rs 442 Crore and it was expected to be completed by end-2008.  This project will cover the remaining lower courts as well as take care of upgrading the ICT infrastructure. The implementing agencies for this project are NIC with the consultation and guidance of the e-committee. = 351,427,128 AED = 95,691,674 $

Personalized training and handholding for two years is being given to judges and their staff. Several awareness programs and workshops are being carried out by retired judges to deal with change management.

eLodgment may be used to commence an action in either jurisdiction by enabling the lodgment of initiating documents and any supporting documents.
 Similarly, documents pertaining to existing matters may be lodged via eLodgment as long as the file number is known.,[object Object]
eCase Administration The Court's eCase Administration is a service that may be used by practitioners or parties to communicate with chambers' staff, on case related issues, in a secure environment.  Only parties to the matter or their legal representatives will have access to this service and access is restricted to those matters where they are a participant in the proceedings. It is in essence an effective case management tool for both chambers and the participants in the matter.
Commonwealth Courts Portal The Commonwealth Courts Portal is an initiative of the Federal Court of Australia, the Family Court of Australia and Federal Magistrates Court of Australia. It provides web-based services to judicial officers, lawyers, litigants and court staff providing real-time information about cases before the courts. Users can obtain a composite, user friendly view of their cases that provides information about documents filed and scheduled listing events, as well as details of any orders made.

Bankcrupcy Provides basic information and resources on bankruptcy laws and filings.
Court records Obtain online case and docket information from federal appellate, district and bankruptcy courts. Appointment of counsel Provides counsel and other representational services to financially eligible persons in criminal and related proceedings.

  1. The e-Courts project will ensure that the status of pending cases from every court will be available online—in terms of both the cause list and the case details. It will also help courts issue digitally certified copies instantaneously. Facilitation counters will be set up in every court building for filing of cases and the issuance of certified copies and case information. This will help citizens report cases and obtain information without hassle
  2. In phase -II of this project, victims and witnesses will be produced through video conferencing. Notices will be served and summons of higher court will be sent electronically. Digitally signed court orders and judgments will be available on the Net.
