6. Faculty responsibility:
Inadequate feedback (students don’t know the grades they’re
earning until it’s too late)
Expectations not high enough and not communicated clearly
This includes both the standards for success in class and how much
work is expected of the student
Student responsibility:
Too much free time, too many activities, lack of structure,
poor time management
The shock of failure (the first time a straight-A student earns
a grade of C is devastating)
Unwillingness to seek help (pride)

Lack of engagement (students don’t feel like they belong)

assignment on Canvas. It will ask you to

1-2 paragraphs in Canvas explaining what
you expect to get out of this class.

Be sure to differentiate these two writing
assignments clearly in your submission.
These charts have GPAs from several years. The Honors College and Honors Students have been doing better recently, but we want to keep that trend going. Keep in mind that 3.0 is necessary to keep all scholarships.
