  • 19. Assignments are all Asynchronous This means that there are no specific times when you are required to log in or meet as a class. HOWEVER – there are due dates for all assignments.
  • 20. Assignments Take Time! • Expect to spend 3-9 hours per week completing assignments. • Remember assignments count as class meetings AND homework!
  • 21. Yes! There are Due Dates! • There is a Module due every 3 weeks. • Assignments are all due on Mondays by 11:00 PM
  • 22. Due Dates Module 1 - Feb 8 Module 2 - Feb 29 Module 3 - March 28 Module 4 - April 11 Module 5 - May 2 Mark your Calendars! Try to complete 1-2 tasks per week. Too much to complete all at once!
  • 23. Is Late Work Accepted? YES • You have a 5-day grace period (until Friday of that week) without penalty. • After that, late work may be submitted for ½ credit. It will be accepted any time during the semester.
  • 24. About Quizzes Online Quizzes cover content from assigned readings. May be taken unlimited times until the due date. Computer records highest score. All Quizzes and Exams are administered ONLINE. (That means the Final, too!)
  • 25. About Reading /Activities Journals • Journals record what you learn or discover • Journal prompts guide you through – Readings in the text – Web Activities – Online Videos and Podcasts – Record your thoughts and observations
  • 26. Journals Take Time! These are extensive assignments that are often time consuming so plan accordingly. Plan 3-9 hours per Journal.
  • 27. Papers and Projects Express yourself through writing essays Learn easy ways to create media presentations.
  • 28. About Event Reports You are required to attend FOUR live arts events during the semester.
  • 29. Event Reports 4 Live Events: – 1 Art Museum or Gallery – 1 Play – 1 Dance Concert – 1 Music Concert Must attend 4 Events to earn an “A” in the class

  • 31. What if an Event has more than one art form? • You decide which art form to focus on BUT You can only count the same event ONCE.
