Introduction
In this day and age M uslims are fully inundated upon
the biographies of celebrities , sports st ars and actors
yet do t hey have the s ame amount of informat ion
about t he members of the Prophet ’s family,
companions and other import ant Is lamic
personalit ies ? T he s ad fact is that M us lims,
particularly in t he West, are unfamiliar w ith even the
names of s uch great people let alone have a det ailed
account of t heir lives which t hey can us e as guides on
how to perfect their ow n life styles .
To p ut an end to t his alienation of import ant
personalit ies of Is lam, Shaykh-ul-Is lam D r.

ﺜﻡ ﺃﺴﺭ ﺇﻟﻴﻬﺎ ﺤﺩﻴﺜﺎ ﻓﺒﻜﺕ ﻓﻘﻠﺕ ﻟﻬﺎ: ﻟﻡ ﺘﺒﻜﻴﻥ؟ ﺜﻡ ﺃﺴﺭ ﺇﻟﻴﻬﺎ
ﺤﺩﻴﺜﺎ ﻓﻀﺤﻜﺕ , ﻓﻘﻠﺕ: ﻤﺎ ﺭﺃﻴﺕ ﻜﺎﻟﻴﻭﻡ ﻓﺭﺤﺎ ﺃﻗﺭﺏ ﻤﻥ ﺤﺯﻥ ,

ﻓﻘﺎﻟﻭﺍ: ﺍﷲ ﻭ ﺭﺴﻭﻟﻪ ﺃﻋﻠﻡ. ﻓﻘﺎل ﺭﺴﻭل ﺍﷲ ﺼﻠﻰ ﺍﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ

bin Ha san bin Ali bin Abi T alib (), who was still a
yo un g boy with h is h air re ach in g h is ear s, went to Um ar
bin Abd- ul-Aziz (). ( On his ar riv al) Umar bin Abd- ul-
Aziz () conc lude d his me etin g an d we lcom e d h is guest
an d f ulfille d h is ne e ds. He then pre sse d th e stomach o f the
boy to the extent that the boy f elt some pa in. Umar bin
Abd- ul- Az iz sa id, “ (On the Day of Judgem ent) at the t ime
of inter ce ssion rem em ber th is.” On the dep arture o f the
boy, the peop le ta unte d Umar bin Abd- ul-Aziz an d sa id,
“ Yo u sho we d so m uch re spe ct to a yo un g boy ?” On this
Umar bin Abd- ul-Aziz said, “ I h ave he ar d a say in g of the
Ho ly Prophet f rom an a uthentic nar rator; it is a s
tho ugh I hav e he ar d it dire ctly from the Me ssen ger of
Allah ( sayin g), ‘In de e d, Fatim ah is a p art of me an d
wh atever p le a se s her ple a se s me .’” ( Umar bin Umar bin
Abd- ul- Az iz then a dde d), “ I am sur e that if Fat imah
( ) ﺳ ﻼﻡ ﺍﷲ ﻋﻠﻴ ﻬﺎwa s a live today, she wo uld be happy at the
wa y I tr eate d her son.” T hen the peop le ask e d, “ What is
the m ean in g of yo ur squeez in g the boy’ s stomach an d
wh at did yo u m ean by the wo r d that yo u sa id? ” T o this
Umar bin Abd- ul-Az iz r eplie d, “ T here is not a sin gle
pe rson from the clan of Ban i Ha shim who h as not been
given the po wer to inte rce de. I just wante d to earn the
r ight to the boy’s inter ce ssion .”41

ﻤﺭﺤﺒﺎ ﺒﺎﺒﻨﺘﻲ. ﻓﺄﺠﻠﺴﻬﺎ ﻋﻥ ﻴﻤﻴﻨﻪ ﺃﻭ ﻋﻥ ﺸﻤﺎﻟﻪ’ ﺜﻡ ﺇﻨﻪ ﺍ ﺴﺭ
ﺇﻟﻴﻬﺎ ﺤﺩﻴﺜﺎ ﻓﺒﻜﺕ ﻓﺎﻁﻤﺔ, ﺜﻡ ﺍﻨﻪ ﺴﺎﺭﻫﺎ ﻓﻀﺤﻜﺕ ﺃﻴﻀﺎ , ﻓﻘﻠﺕ
ﻟﻬﺎ : ﻤﺎ ﻴﺒﻜﻴ ﻙ؟ ﻓﻘﺎﻟﺕ: ﻤﺎ ﻜﻨﺕ ﻷﻓﺸﻲ ﺴﺭ ﺭﺴﻭل ﺍﷲ ﺼﻠﻰ ﺍﷲ
ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺴﻠﻡ. ﻓﻘﻠﺕ : ﻤﺎ ﺭﺃﻴﺕ ﻜﺎﻟﻴﻭﻡ ﻓﺭﺤﺎ ﺃﻗﺭﺏ ﻤﻥ ﺤﺯ ﻥ. ﻓﻘﻠﺕ
ﻟﻬﺎ ﺤﻴﻥ ﺒﻜﺕ : ﺃﺨﺼﻙ ﺭﺴﻭل ﺍﷲ ﺼﻠﻰ ﺍﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺴﻠﻡ ﺒﺤﺩﻴﺜﻪ
ﺩﻭﻨﻨﺎ ﺜﻡ ﺘﺒﻜﻴﻥ؟ ﻭﺴﺄﻟﺘﻬﺎ ﻋﻤﺎ ﻗﺎل, ﻓﻘﺎﻟﺕ: ﻤﺎ ﻜﻨﺕ ﻷﻓﺸ ﺴﺭ

ﺭ ﺴﻭل ﺍﷲ ﺼﻠﻰ ﺍﷲ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺴﻠﻡ. ﺤﺘﻰ ﺇﺫﺍ ﻗﺒﺽ ﺴﺄﻟﺘﻬﺎ, ﻓﻘﺎﻟﺕ :
ﺇﻨﻪ ﻜﺎﻥ ﺤﺩﺜﻨﻰ ﺃﻥ ﺠﺒﺭﻴل ﻜﺎﻥ ﻴﻌﺎﺭﻀﻪ ﺒﺎﻟﻘﺭﺁﻥ ﻜل ﻋﺎﻡ ﻤﺭﺓ, ﻭ
ﺇﻨﻪ ﻋﺎﺭﻀﻪ ﺒﻪ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﻡ ﻤﺭﺘﻴﻥ, ﻭﻻ ﺃﺭﺍﻨﻲ ﺇﻻ ﻗﺩ ﺤﻀﺭ ﺃﺠﻠﻲ , ﻭ
ﺇﻨﻙ ﺃﻭل ﺃﻫﻠﻲ ﻟﺤﻭﻗﺎ ﺒﻲ , ﻭﻨﻌﻡ ﺍﻟﺴﻠﻑ ﺃﻨﺎ ﻟﻙ . ﻓﺒﻜﻴﺕ ﻟﺫﻟﻙ . ﺜﻡ
ﺍﻨﻪ ﺴﺎﺭﻨﻲ, ﻓﻘﺎل: ﺃﻻ ﺘﺭﻀﻴﻥ ﺃﻥ ﺘﻜﻭﻨى ﺴﻴﺩﺓ ﻨﺴﺎﺀ ﺍﻟﻤﺅﻤﻨﻴﻥ,ﺃﻭ
ﺴﻴﺩﺓ ﻨﺴﺎﺀ ﻫﺫﻩ ﺍﻷﻤﺔ.ﻓﻀﺤﻜﺕ ﻟﺫﻟﻙ .
