Each student with a star by his/her name is the captain and responsible for making sure the group has picked up and completed the task.  Additionally, that person is the ONLY one who can go to the teacher with questions.
 
 
 
 
Pictures on the chart match the pictures on the student group bins.
Each clothespin is numbered for a particular student.  When a student takes a book from one of the bins, he/she must clip their clothespin to the bin.  When they return the book, they remove their pin, place it back up with remaining unused pins, and put their book in the correct bin.

Students practice reading on their level with Reading A-Z readers and then answer comprehension questions.
 
 
Your kids do enough pencil/paper work!  Why not add some more foldables like this one to make the stations more enjoyable for the kids and yet still provide you with enough information to see if the kids are really learning?
Tired of the same ideas at the writing station? Why not incorporate the use of magazines, newspapers, or even comics to inspire some new ideas for your kids?
Have you thought about adding a dictionary or a thesaurus to your library and writing stations to help kids figure out words on their own?
