This document provides an overview of library resources available to students at Nova Southeastern University's Health Professions Division. It highlights 10 key online medical resources available through the library including Access Medicine, Bates' Visual Guide to Physical Examination, DynaMed, Anatomy and Physiology Online, MD Consult, and UpToDate. Students must authenticate using their Sharklink login to access these full-text medical databases, textbooks, videos and other resources.

13. MD Consult - is a one-stop virtual library to e-books, e-
journals (via an enhanced MEDLINE interface), patient
education handouts, medical news, drug information, and
clinical guidelines.
There are currently 115 full text reference books in MD
Consult, over 90 full text current journal titles, and 50 Clinics.
MD Consult has a companion resource called FirstConsult.
FirstConsult provides information on medical
conditions and links seamlessly to MD Consult content.

Here are some examples.CINAHL contains citations and abstracts from the literature of nursing and allied health. It includes full-text for more than 620 journals, legal cases, drug records, research instruments, clinical trials, and more.ISI Web of Knowledge consists of a science, a social sciences and an arts & humanities index. The databases contain information gathered from thousands of scholarly journals, books, book series, reports and conferences.Medline is the National Library of Medicine’s premiere search system for health information and includes over 17 million citations from the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and preclinical sciences.
