Students researched different types of bullying,
wrote a script, and filmed their PSAs.

Corresponding AASL standard states that the writing
process, media and visual literacy, as well as
technology skills must be utilized to create products
that express new understandings.
Anti-Bullying PSA project assists students in using

Bullying issue in school o PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center o District Sponsored - Social Emotional Learning Curriculum LA teachers collaborate with librarian on research to inform students about bullying Meaningful learning experience o writing o presenting
  • 4. CONNECTION OF LIBRARY STANDARDS (AASL) TO COMMON CORE • • • The Common Core standards - “Production” and the “Distribution of Writing”. Focus on “technology, including the internet, to produce and publish writing and to interact and collaborate with others” Students researched different types of bullying, wrote a script, and filmed their PSAs.

CONNECTION OF LIBRARY STANDARDS (AASL) TO COMMON CORE, CONT. • • Corresponding AASL standard states that the writing process, media and visual literacy, as well as technology skills must be utilized to create products that express new understandings. Anti-Bullying PSA project assists students in using technology and media, critical thinking, writing, performing, cooperation, and more
