Trained in French language and literature studies (UMN) with a strong emphasis in postmodern critical theory and semiotics, I actually spend most of my time working in second language acquisition and technology enhanced language learning. I've been writing computer programs since 1969 (Fortran). I was one of the first language professors creating and integrating websites into my courses (1996-on). Most recently, I've created a series of first and second year French courses online.
