Protsahan
aims
to
empower
Dalit
women
in
India
through
their
“Project
Stree”.
It’s
a
sad
situaBon
for
Dalit
women
in
India,
most
of
them
work
in
house-‐holds
earning
a
meager
USD
50
per
month.
They
oZen
depend
on
their
children
for
an
income
and
are
forced
into
sexual
exploitaBon.
OZen
are
harassed
by
their
own
men.
Protsahan
wishes
to
put
an
end
to
this
by
encouraging
women
to
take
up
alternaBve
livelihoods
and
convert
themselves
into
entrepreneurs.
