Project Description:
Novartis International is a Multinational Pharmaceutical Company based in Basel, Switzerland and
Operates in 140 countries. The company is mainly involved in manufacturing of Drugs and
Pharmaceutical products and other Generic elements used in the Biotechnology.
SAP MP1 Program is intended to build standardized SAP solutions with in Healthcare domain for
different verticals; they are order Management, Plan Source, Make Delivery and Service. It is also
defined as creating a SAP solution from scratch without any constraints that are imposed by current
IT setup. As Novartis targets to dramatically simplify its ERP core engine from what we have today,
we have to configure the ERP engine to reflect the Swiss Business system and run Swiss as an
integrated enterprise. MP1 is an End to End process which addresses the management of Sales
orders, including the delivery of the Swiss products and services to the customer.
Responsibilities:
 Understanding the Feasibility of the Functional Requirements specified the Functional specification.
 Interacting with Functional Team to resolve the issues in the given Objects.
 Involved in developing technical specification by understanding the functional requirements.

 Created Goods Receipt Listing Report taking Material Doc.no, Material Posting Date and Vendor A/c
No inputs from Selection-Screen.
Forms:
 Changed the existing SAP Script layout for Sales Order according to Client’s specifications and
added Company’s Logo and added texts as per Client’s requirement.
 Understanding Designed a Form which prints Purchase Order Details from an ALV Grid in
Landscape Format.
 Designed a Delivery Note which is to be attached to Standard Transaction VL71. This output will be
printed against outbound delivery document crated against Purchase Order.
Conversions:
 Understanding Upload the Vendor Master Data as well as customer master data by using BDC
Session method.
 Upload the Vendor Data for transaction XK01 by using the BDC Call transaction method.
 Develop a BDC program which upload SD condition Types via Transaction VK11 from an Excel
Spread sheet. Only some condition Types are uploaded, other condition types are reported error.
Enhancements:
 Implemented a BADI in Creation of Batch in MSC1N. It checks if the Total self-life of Material initial
and issue an Info message preventing the saving Batch.
 Implemented a BADI which downloads Vendor key Information to Excel file automatically
whenever a new Vendor is created in XK01.

 Triggered Workflow for IDOC failure.
 Modified IDOC generated file by Enhancing std. function module.

 Enhanced BADI “BADI_MATERIAL_CHECK” to change the material description.
