Stress is the physical or mental tension
caused by either excess of efforts or by
conflicting situations.

  • 3. Introduction: Stress & Burnout  Stress and burnout occurs for different reasons in different individuals.  Work load alone does not define an individual’s level of stress or burnout. But several factors including work load may play a role in creating workplace stress or burnout.
