Katrin “Kat” Weixel is the Community and Intranet Manager at ASHA in Rockville, MD, where she is responsible for managing and developing ASHA’s intranet and creating collaborative sites for ASHA’s boards and committees. Over the course of her four years in this role, she has learned that a good intranet manager needs to wear many hats, including: planner, manager, strategist, mediator, counselor, trainer, mentor, decision-maker, translator, interpreter, cheerleader, and friend. She enjoys talking “intranets” with others, and loves to share ideas with her peers. Prior to taking on the role of Intranet Manager, Kat served as ASHA’s Internet Content Developer from 2003-2005. B
