3. S u m m a r y :
Loving what you do does not feel like work but fulfills certain levels of personal satisfaction and
achievement. I have been fortunate to have been involved and worked closely with so many
disciplines throughout my career that has allowed me to develop skills and gain in depth
knowledge of how projects should be designed and constructed.
I was educated at Mississippi State University, designed hundreds of projects, taught, lectured
and have authored/contributed to several periodicals and books. I have thirty+ years of
experience as a design leader and construction manager in landscape architecture, creative
and urban design, parks and recreation, transportation, mixed-use, urban design, hospitality,
and master planned communities. I have also served on the Design Review Commission for the
City of Lakeland, TN and I have assisted in the creation and lectured for the Landscape Design
curriculum at George Washington University (Hampton Roads Academy) in the United States.
Key strengths include master and urban planning where previous experience with large scale
projects included Stonehouse, a 9,000-acre master planned development in Virginia, Desert
Rose, a 4,000 hectare Emirate Housing development in Dubai and more recently Epic Universe
(Universal Studios) and Six Flags theme parks.
My work was internationally based from 2007-2019 with projects in North America, Middle East,
Southeast Asia and China. Project types include municipal infrastructure, environmental
planning + design, hotels + streetscapes, resorts, theme parks, mixed use/commercial and urban
planning + design projects winning awards on 2 continents. I have extensive experience in
construction management inclusive of hotel resorts, theme, water, infrastructure + municipal
infrastructure projects and high-end residential projects.
