In the context of this argument, discrimination is the unjust treatment of groups of people, specific
in this argument, women and racial minorities. Discrimination often involves unfair denial of
opportunity to a woman or minority from a source of power. While discrimination is wrong, it is
not all the same and it does not all come from the same source. Discrimination can stem from things
like emotions, specifically fear or hatred, rules and laws, and society. To compare discrimination, you
must be comparing situations with the same cause. Comparing discrimination with different causes
does not work since they are not coming from the same foundation. Comparison needs the same
foundation so similarity in the situations are taken into consideration. The cause is a big enough
difference that makes the cases incomparable. In discrimination cases, a situation that began from
fear will be vastly different than a situation that began from a law. The reasoning for discrimination
and how to handle the problem will be different. These situations have to be dealt with separately
and they should not be compared as they are not similar enough for comparison.

energy to fulfill the requirements of Chaparral Drive residents (a total of 42 homes) based on
reports by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. As part of our assumptions we also
determined the energy to be produced by solar or wind to be sufficient to supply all the electrical
energy demands of the residential neighborhood. In addition, we found our interest rate to be 2.5%
which would be compounded annually. This assumption was stemmed from the average of interest
rates within last 28 years. Therefore, we based our value off of the average and decided to choose a
rate of 2.5%.
Our approach was to do an economic viability analysis of a home's electrical energy consumption
with solar and with wind as 100% alternatives with the given assumptions. We also used utility bill
cost from an actual resident of Chaparral Drive to use as a comparison for our analysis.
Our first assumptions are the amount of panels or power required for the typical home, which was
assumed to be 30 kW–hr per day. This number is slightly higher than average, which gave us
confidence that it would be applicable to most homes. Using this information and the rating of the
average panel to produce 265 watts per hour, we found that in order to be a net zero energy home,
at least in electrical power, would mean that the energy that would be required throughout the day is
produced during the time of the day when sunlight is available. We concluded that about 20 solar

Community Housing of Wyandotte County (CHWC) is a non–profit organization that build, rent
and sell houses for lower prices, to families in need, their goal is to help people to achieve their
dream of having a house or rent a house with affordable payments. CHWC not only provide
houses but they also provide financial counseling and homebuyer assistance, that help individuals
to get better understanding of the process that need to do in order to buy a house. The time I was
there I felt so welcome by the staff and also it helped me to improve my communication skills
since I was at the front desk receiving calls, interacting with the clients, making appointments to
meet with the counselors and receiving the donations from different associations. I had a lot of
good experiences at CHWC, one of the best experiences I had at CHWC was when a family
finally get their house,I was the one who inform them that we had some goods news for them, as
soon the family arrived the counselor speak to them and it was great seeing the face of those
people, they were so happy about it. Another good experience was when a man came into the
office with flowers and a cake for one of the counselors, he was so thankful because he was a first
time homebuyer, and the counselor form CHWC helped him and oriented him, it was a great
experience, I feel like CHWC gives a lot to the community. It was the
