Upload videos onto your page from within Facebook, from a link from YouTube, video is good for SEO 12. Schedule your posts, write them all at once, and then schedule when you want them to come out, you can use Tweetdeck.com to do this for free 13. You can choose whether visitors to your page see just your page’s posts as default or your page and liker’s posts as default, as social media is supposed to be social it is best to choose both your and your likers posts 14. Always try to add value to your likers through your posts 15. Selling is not adding value ‐ your Facebook page is not all about sell, sell, sell, remember that you want to build a community where people trust your business/product/service then they will buy from you 16. Keep a note what you have already posted ‐ so that you can see what works well, so you know what to do more of and what to do less of 17. Respond to all comments, if someone comments on a post then respond to them, they have made the effort so you should acknowledge that 18. Keep track of which times of day and days of the week you get the most comments and likes on your posts and then try to post at these times/days 48. On your info tab don’t just have a mass of text, it makes it very hard to read, use bullet points, spacing and CAPS to make it easy to read 49. You can target your Facebook ads by location, sex, age, keyword, relationship status, job title, workplace, or college. You don’t need to have a Facebook account to set up a page, just go to Facebook.com and click on create a page for my business under the sign up section 60. Search engines search your pages info tab and info box (under the profile picture) when looking for results 61. Check out the Facebook competition rules before you run any competition on your page 62. Make sure that your info tab contains ALL your keywords 63. You can’t see the insights for your Facebook page until you have 30 people who like your page 64. Make sure your page has a welcome/landing tab, people are twice as likely to like a page with a welcome tab 65. Your personal Facebook profile is NOT connected to your page in any way, NOTHING you post on your personal profile appears on your page 66. No one knows who the admins are for your Facebook page unless you tell them 67. You can’t change from a page to a group or vice versa 68. Don’t assume that people visiting your page will go to your website if they can’t find what they are looking for 69. If you sell products online and put up photos of them include a link in the description to EXACTLY where they buy them online 70. Use your page’s photo albums in a way that makes it easy for people to find what they want to see, this doesn’t mean adding 1000s of photos into one album but instead break them up into smaller albums with sensible names!
