Some Drugs have
MEDICAL PURPOSES
They can be used legally to:
  Correct imbalances in body chemistry.
  Fight or protect against diseases.
  Relieve pain.

But many drugs
are illegal
 - and extremely dangerous.
 And legal drugs (such as alcohol,
 prescription medications and even
 over-the-counter drugs) can also
 be dangerous if misused.        3
Even in small amounts,
Drugs can create
Big problems

 It’s not always possible to
 predict how a drug will affect
 the user – or the user’s life.

 are treated for drug addition,

 try to run from their problems
 by using drugs.

 Is highly potent cocaine that can be smoked.

Gateway drugs are lower classed drugschildren
 Columbia University Study shows that
that to 17 years old were who smoke are 19 times

Examples of gateway drugs
Two-thirds of drug abusers are regular
