HISTORICAL NARRATIVE
The year was 1787 Elizabeth was going to her job at the clog maker on the way Elizabeth started
talking to the people on the street to the way of her job. She arrived at her job where she stole the
clogs and put them in her bag and acted normal during her job she worked for 5 hours then headed
home and she slept and the next morning she woke up and she had the police at her door and said
" You're coming to court Elizabeth" She left her home and went to court and she was accused of
stealing clogs Elizabeth said to herself please don't take me away from my family she came home

Everyone defines himself or herself by something, whether it is their sport or their best subject or
their favorite club. I am not excluded, and despite my involvement in fencing and my love of
biology or my involvement in the International Baccalaureate at my school I think of myself of
something else. I am above all an independent person. This is something I have carried with me for
most of my life and education, as it came about when my father was deployed to Afghanistan
during my fifth grade year. This was the same year my brother went off to college for the first
time, which left me as the only male in my house. I was too young to realize I could not be the
man of the house; in my mind, I had to try to be. I began doing more dishes, dealing...show more

I have a history of actively going against my parents. I stopped playing soccer as my sport, and I
refused to participate in any sort of musical practice or learning. When I got to high school
everyone expected me to get into drama or choir, as that was what my older siblings had done. I
again astounded my family by choosing to get into journalism instead. My most recent dismissal
of others' wants was when I went against my mother's want and got into the International
Baccalaureate program at Pueblo West High. These are all examples of my extreme
independence, of my need to blaze my own path in life against the expectations of my
predecessors, but I did not simply refuse what other people wanted because it did not come from
inside myself. I joined Troop 3 with my father when he returned home from Afghanistan, and I am
still an avid supporter of scouts and soon to be Eagle today. A few years after quitting soccer, my
parents approached me with the possibility of fencing, and to this day I enjoy the sport
recreationally. I do not turn away suggestions or assistance simply because I have a need for
independence at a basic level, but I do so when I decide it is not what I really

Life Simple Narrative
When the Life Simple 7 program launched I though to myself perfect timing. I like setting the
tone for the new year by challenging myself to accomplish new goals. So I accepted the terms as a
personal challenge. My areas of focus was to eat better and become more active. My first step to
eating better was to reduce my intake of processes foods. I removed refine sugar from my diet. I
began cooking more and planning my meals in advance. I became better acquainted with my
slow cooker. I began working out on a consistent bases. In January, I worked out on average 2 days a
week. Today, I work out a minimum of five days a week. I use a fitness tracker to keep me honest.
Life Simple & was a great journey that I had the pleasure of bring my family.

Example Of A Narrative Essay College
A narrative essay is a story that is true and has meaning, whether it be to prove a point, send a
message, explain an event that's happened, or entertain the reader. Most narrative essays are
written to convey a story from a past time that sends a message to not only the reader, but the
writer themselves. When planning a narrative essay, the first step is to identify the topic in which
the writer wants to explain. There are multiple ways in which the you can come up with a topic, it
all depends on the style you're most comfortable with. The next step is to write down all the main
events that supports the topic you have chosen. What main events led up to the story you're trying to
approach? What key events made what your topic is all about?...show more content...
This event made a big impact on my life as it showed me the value of work ethic by showing me
that hard work pays off. It also taught me to never give up and follow your heart. And lastly, it
taught me the importance of a team to help me through the tough practices and mental battles. When
choosing my topic, I wrote down 3 main events that were important in my life that impacted me and
shaped myself into the person I am today. The 3 I chose were: breaking the 3200–meter record for
my school, breaking the 4x800 record with my team, and lastly, moving from Poinciana to
Kissimmee and leaving all my friends to take on a new chapter in my life. The topic I chose to
write is one I feel very passionate about and the single memory I can recall the most. Although
breaking the 4x800 record with my team was a memorable moment and the first record I'd ever
broken at my school, nothing compared to the feeling I got when I broke an individual record that
was held by my own coach. I had a sense of relief and happiness, not just for myself, but my coach
as well. It felt as if I didn't just break the record for the sake of me personally, but for him too. May
have taken 21 years to be broken, but I'd say it sure was worth

My road into choosing medicine has been a turbulent route, but the bumps and hurdles along the
way have created defining impressions on me. Over the years, I have been pushed and pulled into
and away from being a physician. I interest in medicine initially sparked my high school friend
asked me to take his job in doing his father's, a primary care physician, paperwork for the year. I was
in need of some gas money, so I gladly accepted. After signing towers of paper work regarding
HIPAA, I began doing the simple task of scanning medical files and typing them into the electronic
system.
I slowly began to grasp the various procedures and medications and drew lines between symptoms
and diagnosis. Hours would pass by, before I realized how late

Image nine resonates with me because it represents women "taking a seat at the table" in business
and I believe more women need to be at the table. The photograph showing a woman in the back
row reminds me of a theme from Sheryl Sandberg's book, Lean In, where she urges women to take a
seat at the table versus sitting on the side of the room. After graduating from Smith College, where I
was empowered by intellectually curious and ambitious women, and then transitioning to banking, a
male–dominated industry, I recognized early in my career how few women there were in executive
roles. As a career driven woman I became inspired to change the status quo and promote the career
advancement of women. In my professional career, I have taken several...show more content...

in fulfilling the necessary requirements for approval and funding. These responsibilities included
creating a charter and bylaws, demonstrating firm–wide interest, and proposing future programming
to support our mission. After gaining approval and funding from human resources, our founding
committee secured Senator Kirsten Gillibrand to speak at the launch event. The launch for our
group was so popular that we had to a find a new venue to accommodate the 100+ employees who
wanted to attend. Next, we obtained the bank's chief technology officer as our executive sponsor, the
only female executive. After the launch, I went on to lead programming, which included organizing

Narrative Writing Exemplar Our family had been meeting together every Wednesday night for
the last two months. We had picked out a hotel, booked our flight, and ordered our tickets for the
parks. We scheduled care takers for our pets and packed our belongings. We were ready! Now, we
were off to our dream vacation in Orlando, Florida. It was three o'clock in the morning, and we
were all still really tired, but we were also really excited. We packed everything in our GMC van
and headed for my grandmother's house. We had made arrangements to leave our van at her house
so that we would not have to pay for parking at the airport. The limo would pick us up at my

I came to the United States at a very tender age, 13 years old, without a family member so I was
residing with my father's friend. After I graduated from high school in 2007, at the age of 17, my
guardian decided to move back to Ghana so I was here all by myself. I wanted to go to college as
that had always been my dream goal. I was therefore admitted to Medgar Evers College, where I am
currently attending, in fall 2007.
Unfortunately, life events caused setbacks in pursing my education and finishing on the right time.
As a teenager in a foreign land all alone without a family and undocumented, life was unbearable. I
was working so hard to solicit funds to pay for my rent and tuition; I was paying tuition out of

Narrative Essay I step my foot into public school for the first time ever my freshman year, not
knowing a single person other than my brother. Prior to my freshman year, I was homeschooled.
The school feels really big at the time and it's very overwhelming. As I walk around I see people
hugging, reuniting, and saying, "oh my gosh I have missed you!" All I am worrying about is
what people are thinking of me like, does she have any friends, or she looks like a loner. I am
getting nervous and more nervous every second that passes. I decide I need to go straight to my
classroom, but I have no idea where to go. I finally make my way to my classroom, then I sit down,
and the bell rings. "The day is just beginning," I think to myself....show more content...

the day going into 5th period. As I walked in I see a girl I already met and I wanted to run and give
her a hug, I was so excited to see someone I already knew. I didn't have to worry where I was going
to sit that period, or who I was going to talk to. I probably looked like the happiest person in the
world with a big smile on my face. As I am smiling as I say, "hello, Claire right?" She says, "Yes!"
We sit together, exchange social media usernames, and numbers. Later, I go to 6th period, my
science class. When we come in the teacher says to talk with people to sit in alphabetical order. I
am placed next to a kid named Dominic Thomas, and his buddy is sitting on the other side of me.
They were acting like I didn't exist, and getting in my personal space. Later, the teacher says, "The
person sitting at your table will be your lab partner." That's when I found out Dominic Thomas will
be my lab partner for the quarter. I did not know what was coming for me. Finally, 7th period here I
come. Now this class was one crazy class, with some crazy people, but it was all good because I get
to leave after this period. The bell rings and I am out of there. Leaving school I am feeling many
emotions, I am happy to leave, excited to tell my mom about all I experienced that day,

"Would you rather surf in Punta Cana or hike the Appalachian Trail?", the anesthesiologist asked. To
humor him, I replied "Hmm, I would probab–". Following an 8 hour anesthesia–induced slumber, I
awoke to blinding lights and inaudible conversation from surgeons. Akin to the seasonal migration
of birds, high school students use their Spring Break to tour prospective colleges. Due to an
appointment with Johns Hopkins Department of Plastic Surgery, I was unable to join the flock.
Meticulous surgeons were tasked with removing soft tissue from my right thigh, and placing it into
my left cheek to add symmetry. I was born with Goldenhar syndrome, a congenital defect that is
characterized by asymmetry of the face. The surgery that occurred during Spring Break of my junior
year was not the first of it's kind, but one of the last. Furthermore, Goldenhar was a rather sneaky
diagnosis, being that it flew right under the radar of every prenatal ultrasound....show more content...
Soon, my mirror checks became enjoyable. It occurred to me that I had missed 2 weeks of school
and was extremely behind. Every time I sought marginal productivity, I became fatigued and
made my way towards a couch. All of a sudden, a fuse went off in my head and I buckled down
and got to work. In the span of 2 days, I wrote a 2,000 word essay for AP Seminar, finished a
debate project, and performed 56 mirror checks. Before I knew it, Sunday evening had come,
which meant 12 hours until my return to school. An elongated gauze pad was still required to
cover the wound under my chin. I was self conscious for the first time of my life. That night I went
to bed praying that the swelling would be gone by sunrise. When Monday morning came, I
instinctively checked a nearby mirror and noticed a slight improvement, but "bloated" was still the
accurate adjective. Insisting to drive, my mother and I made our way to South River High School

It was the summer of 2006 when my life took its first unexpected turn: I was seventeen years old
and diagnosed with endometriosis. After I came out of what I thought would be an exploratory
laparoscopy, doctors explained how they had to perform a left–oophorectomy secondary to a large
endometrioma. I was devastated. However, what was most shocking to me was the fact that it was
done without my consent or any prior explanation of the surgery's possible outcomes.
Eventually, I recuperated well and came to terms with my diagnosis but my life was about to
dramatically change. Only 10 months later, during my second year of medical training in Venezuela,
the situation in my country had become too unstable and my parents made the difficult decision to
immigrate. I had not only to leave my home, family and close friends, but also restart my medical
training in the United States. My devotion for medicine and providing care to the underserved gave

Personal Narrative It was the year of 2013, I was going into 4th grade and school was just a
month away. But it wasn't the 4th grade that I was looking forward to, because my family was
moving to a small town in Wisconsin named Mosinee. I grew up in a suburb just on the outskirts
of the great city known as Chicago. I loved it there, and wanted to live there for the rest of my
life; I guess my parents didn't exactly feel the same way. Little did I know that this move would
shape my personality and change me in many different ways. And ultimately, to make me a better
person as a whole. When I told my very few friends that I was moving, they always asked why. I
really didn't have an answer and didn't think about it that much. The day eventually came, and we
had all of our stuff was ready, my family was ready, but I wasn't. I couldn't imagine a life without
my normal friends and my normal school, and didn't realize that this move would be one of the best
things that has ever happened to me.

but that was very hard because I new that I wasn't going to get another friend until school started,

As times goes on you, realize life isn't all it seems to be. You learn life lessons and certain life
events teach you things that can lead to you improving yourself as a person. As you realize most
things in life are provided to you, you never truly realize how much everything can mean. As
teenagers most of us are immature and do not realize how easy it is for us to lose everything we
have. As we could lose everything and anything in a matter of seconds if we are not careful.

The next week was a breeze and it comes down to the night before I had already packed all my stuff
that night I was told of the trip. Next morning I woke up bright and early ate breakfast and we

that was interesting about the travel was the fact that during one of flights I was sat beside a drunk
idiot and then got moved up a few seats and got 3 seats all to myself! When we finally landed in
Pakistan it did not look anything different than in Canada. I thought "oh well maybe it looks the
same, and is the same" because personally I didn't know much about this place other than the fact
I had family here. When we got all our stuff and headed out in a car I noticed nothing different but
that might have been due to the fact I was kind of fatigued and the fact we were in a bigger city.
On the travel to my cousins I fell asleep, and didn't get woken up until we reached their house.
When I got out of the car I was too tired and was way to jetlagged to realize how different things
were so I went straight into the house and went back to bed.
I mostly slept for the whole first day. As I woke up by my family, they invited me to go out and try

At this point in my life I find myself in an interesting predicament regarding my attitudes toward
reading and writing; more so towards reading. Years ago I used to love reading books for pleasure
but nowadays I find myself reading things that little to no effort to digest. This includes the very
basic posts on facebook expressing one's opinion on something or articles and threads on reddit
discussing topics I find intriguing. Perhaps it's the severe senioritis that has overcome me as I
enter my last semester at Chapman University. As I've gotten lazier I can see it start to reflect in
my everyday life. Deep down I still love to read but I rarely find myself getting truly invested into
the action unless it relates to something I am very...show more content...
You can feed the mind as much as you want and it will never get full of reading. Sadly, I'm not the
same person that I was. I guess you could say it's part of growing up. It never really was
intentional but it's just the way how it ended up. On the other hand my attitudes toward writing
are very different. First let me say that deep down I truly do not like to write. I myself don't
personally like to write for leisure or pleasure but rather I write because I believe it is one of the
most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, both personally and
professionally. To put differently, my attitude towards writing is that I write because I need to
write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have to, not because I want to.
Hopefully this somewhat makes sense. To better explain let me make a comparison. When I am
assigned a writing assignment or I am writing because the action is being forced upon me I find
myself not enjoying the process and overall the end result is subpar. The perfect example of this
would be my junior year in high school when I was enrolled in AP english literature. I dreaded the
majority of the class simply because there was so much writing involved in the entire course and
therefore I was constantly writing just to get a grade. Being forced to write in such high volume
every week for an entire school year was not enjoyable for myself and as a result the

  • 2. Example Of Personal Narrative Essay Everyone defines himself or herself by something, whether it is their sport or their best subject or their favorite club. I am not excluded, and despite my involvement in fencing and my love of biology or my involvement in the International Baccalaureate at my school I think of myself of something else. I am above all an independent person. This is something I have carried with me for most of my life and education, as it came about when my father was deployed to Afghanistan during my fifth grade year. This was the same year my brother went off to college for the first time, which left me as the only male in my house. I was too young to realize I could not be the man of the house; in my mind, I had to try to be. I began doing more dishes, dealing...show more content... I have a history of actively going against my parents. I stopped playing soccer as my sport, and I refused to participate in any sort of musical practice or learning. When I got to high school everyone expected me to get into drama or choir, as that was what my older siblings had done. I again astounded my family by choosing to get into journalism instead. My most recent dismissal of others' wants was when I went against my mother's want and got into the International Baccalaureate program at Pueblo West High. These are all examples of my extreme independence, of my need to blaze my own path in life against the expectations of my predecessors, but I did not simply refuse what other people wanted because it did not come from inside myself. I joined Troop 3 with my father when he returned home from Afghanistan, and I am still an avid supporter of scouts and soon to be Eagle today. A few years after quitting soccer, my parents approached me with the possibility of fencing, and to this day I enjoy the sport recreationally. I do not turn away suggestions or assistance simply because I have a need for independence at a basic level, but I do so when I decide it is not what I really Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 5. Example Of A Narrative Essay College A narrative essay is a story that is true and has meaning, whether it be to prove a point, send a message, explain an event that's happened, or entertain the reader. Most narrative essays are written to convey a story from a past time that sends a message to not only the reader, but the writer themselves. When planning a narrative essay, the first step is to identify the topic in which the writer wants to explain. There are multiple ways in which the you can come up with a topic, it all depends on the style you're most comfortable with. The next step is to write down all the main events that supports the topic you have chosen. What main events led up to the story you're trying to approach? What key events made what your topic is all about?...show more content... This event made a big impact on my life as it showed me the value of work ethic by showing me that hard work pays off. It also taught me to never give up and follow your heart. And lastly, it taught me the importance of a team to help me through the tough practices and mental battles. When choosing my topic, I wrote down 3 main events that were important in my life that impacted me and shaped myself into the person I am today. The 3 I chose were: breaking the 3200–meter record for my school, breaking the 4x800 record with my team, and lastly, moving from Poinciana to Kissimmee and leaving all my friends to take on a new chapter in my life. The topic I chose to write is one I feel very passionate about and the single memory I can recall the most. Although breaking the 4x800 record with my team was a memorable moment and the first record I'd ever broken at my school, nothing compared to the feeling I got when I broke an individual record that was held by my own coach. I had a sense of relief and happiness, not just for myself, but my coach as well. It felt as if I didn't just break the record for the sake of me personally, but for him too. May have taken 21 years to be broken, but I'd say it sure was worth Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Example Of A Personal Narrative My road into choosing medicine has been a turbulent route, but the bumps and hurdles along the way have created defining impressions on me. Over the years, I have been pushed and pulled into and away from being a physician. I interest in medicine initially sparked my high school friend asked me to take his job in doing his father's, a primary care physician, paperwork for the year. I was in need of some gas money, so I gladly accepted. After signing towers of paper work regarding HIPAA, I began doing the simple task of scanning medical files and typing them into the electronic system. I slowly began to grasp the various procedures and medications and drew lines between symptoms and diagnosis. Hours would pass by, before I realized how late Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Personal Narrative Essay Examples Image nine resonates with me because it represents women "taking a seat at the table" in business and I believe more women need to be at the table. The photograph showing a woman in the back row reminds me of a theme from Sheryl Sandberg's book, Lean In, where she urges women to take a seat at the table versus sitting on the side of the room. After graduating from Smith College, where I was empowered by intellectually curious and ambitious women, and then transitioning to banking, a male–dominated industry, I recognized early in my career how few women there were in executive roles. As a career driven woman I became inspired to change the status quo and promote the career advancement of women. In my professional career, I have taken several...show more content... I learned that the bank sponsored employee led groups and I was passionate about creating a group to support women since one did not exist. I formed and led a founding committee that was successful in fulfilling the necessary requirements for approval and funding. These responsibilities included creating a charter and bylaws, demonstrating firm–wide interest, and proposing future programming to support our mission. After gaining approval and funding from human resources, our founding committee secured Senator Kirsten Gillibrand to speak at the launch event. The launch for our group was so popular that we had to a find a new venue to accommodate the 100+ employees who wanted to attend. Next, we obtained the bank's chief technology officer as our executive sponsor, the only female executive. After the launch, I went on to lead programming, which included organizing "Lean In" circles for women at varying levels, a roundtable chat with our president & CEO, and lunch & learns with our chief technology officer. Within the first year the group grew to over 100 active Get more content on HelpWriting.net

We had picked out a hotel, booked our flight, and ordered our tickets for the parks. We scheduled care takers for our pets and packed our belongings. We were ready! Now, we were off to our dream vacation in Orlando, Florida. It was three o'clock in the morning, and we were all still really tired, but we were also really excited. We packed everything in our GMC van and headed for my grandmother's house. We had made arrangements to leave our van at her house so that we would not have to pay for parking at the airport. • 9. Example Of A Personal Narrative Research Paper I came to the United States at a very tender age, 13 years old, without a family member so I was residing with my father's friend. After I graduated from high school in 2007, at the age of 17, my guardian decided to move back to Ghana so I was here all by myself. I wanted to go to college as that had always been my dream goal. I was therefore admitted to Medgar Evers College, where I am currently attending, in fall 2007. Unfortunately, life events caused setbacks in pursing my education and finishing on the right time. As a teenager in a foreign land all alone without a family and undocumented, life was unbearable. I was working so hard to solicit funds to pay for my rent and tuition; I was paying tuition out of pocket as I did not qualify Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Narrative Essay Examples Narrative Essay I step my foot into public school for the first time ever my freshman year, not knowing a single person other than my brother. Prior to my freshman year, I was homeschooled. The school feels really big at the time and it's very overwhelming. As I walk around I see people hugging, reuniting, and saying, "oh my gosh I have missed you!" All I am worrying about is what people are thinking of me like, does she have any friends, or she looks like a loner. I am getting nervous and more nervous every second that passes. I decide I need to go straight to my classroom, but I have no idea where to go. I finally make my way to my classroom, then I sit down, and the bell rings. "The day is just beginning," I think to myself....show more content... I am halfway through the day. After this long day it's still not over yet, I am just half way through the day going into 5th period. As I walked in I see a girl I already met and I wanted to run and give her a hug, I was so excited to see someone I already knew. I didn't have to worry where I was going to sit that period, or who I was going to talk to. I probably looked like the happiest person in the world with a big smile on my face. As I am smiling as I say, "hello, Claire right?" She says, "Yes!" We sit together, exchange social media usernames, and numbers. Later, I go to 6th period, my science class. When we come in the teacher says to talk with people to sit in alphabetical order. I am placed next to a kid named Dominic Thomas, and his buddy is sitting on the other side of me. They were acting like I didn't exist, and getting in my personal space. Later, the teacher says, "The person sitting at your table will be your lab partner." That's when I found out Dominic Thomas will be my lab partner for the quarter. I did not know what was coming for me. Finally, 7th period here I come. Now this class was one crazy class, with some crazy people, but it was all good because I get to leave after this period. The bell rings and I am out of there. • 11. Example Of Personal Narrative Essay Sample "Would you rather surf in Punta Cana or hike the Appalachian Trail?", the anesthesiologist asked. To humor him, I replied "Hmm, I would probab–". Following an 8 hour anesthesia–induced slumber, I awoke to blinding lights and inaudible conversation from surgeons. Akin to the seasonal migration of birds, high school students use their Spring Break to tour prospective colleges. Due to an appointment with Johns Hopkins Department of Plastic Surgery, I was unable to join the flock. Meticulous surgeons were tasked with removing soft tissue from my right thigh, and placing it into my left cheek to add symmetry. I was born with Goldenhar syndrome, a congenital defect that is characterized by asymmetry of the face. The surgery that occurred during Spring Break of my junior year was not the first of it's kind, but one of the last. Furthermore, Goldenhar was a rather sneaky diagnosis, being that it flew right under the radar of every prenatal ultrasound....show more content... Soon, my mirror checks became enjoyable. It occurred to me that I had missed 2 weeks of school and was extremely behind. Every time I sought marginal productivity, I became fatigued and made my way towards a couch. All of a sudden, a fuse went off in my head and I buckled down and got to work. In the span of 2 days, I wrote a 2,000 word essay for AP Seminar, finished a debate project, and performed 56 mirror checks. Before I knew it, Sunday evening had come, which meant 12 hours until my return to school. An elongated gauze pad was still required to cover the wound under my chin. I was self conscious for the first time of my life. That night I went to bed praying that the swelling would be gone by sunrise. When Monday morning came, I instinctively checked a nearby mirror and noticed a slight improvement, but "bloated" was still the accurate adjective. • 12. Example Of Personal Narrative Essay Sample It was the summer of 2006 when my life took its first unexpected turn: I was seventeen years old and diagnosed with endometriosis. After I came out of what I thought would be an exploratory laparoscopy, doctors explained how they had to perform a left–oophorectomy secondary to a large endometrioma. I was devastated. However, what was most shocking to me was the fact that it was done without my consent or any prior explanation of the surgery's possible outcomes. Eventually, I recuperated well and came to terms with my diagnosis but my life was about to dramatically change. Only 10 months later, during my second year of medical training in Venezuela, the situation in my country had become too unstable and my parents made the difficult decision to immigrate. I had not only to leave my home, family and close friends, but also restart my medical training in the United States. My devotion for medicine and providing care to the underserved gave me the strength to continue my pursuit in becoming a doctor....show more content... As I learned about the wonders of pregnancy and birth, my interest and enthusiasm grew strong. I also scrubbed into multiple C–sections and major gynecological procedures that put my surgical skills into practice for the first time, allowing me to realize my desire to become a surgeon. • 13. Examples Of Personal Narrative Personal Narrative It was the year of 2013, I was going into 4th grade and school was just a month away. But it wasn't the 4th grade that I was looking forward to, because my family was moving to a small town in Wisconsin named Mosinee. I grew up in a suburb just on the outskirts of the great city known as Chicago. I loved it there, and wanted to live there for the rest of my life; I guess my parents didn't exactly feel the same way. Little did I know that this move would shape my personality and change me in many different ways. And ultimately, to make me a better person as a whole. When I told my very few friends that I was moving, they always asked why. I really didn't have an answer and didn't think about it that much. The day eventually came, and we had all of our stuff was ready, my family was ready, but I wasn't. I couldn't imagine a life without my normal friends and my normal school, and didn't realize that this move would be one of the best things that has ever happened to me. After we gave our hardest goodbye, I started my journey to my new house. I tried to stay optimistic, but that was very hard because I new that I wasn't going to get another friend until school started, which was a month away. I also don't have a relationship...show more content... There was one more problem too, while I was friends with Mathias, I didn't have any other friends. So I made it my mission to find my new Mathias. There was one kid named Cole Holtz, I told him about how I used to live in Chicago. He found my story very amusing we hung out more and more. We are still friends to this very day, and I find it incredible how a small story could spark a great friendship. He eventually introduced me to his friend named Caden Hrebik. Caden was a shy kid like I was at the time, so we got along very well. We called ourselvesthe three musketeers, and it was the of something great, for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Narrative Essay Examples Narrative Essay As times goes on you, realize life isn't all it seems to be. You learn life lessons and certain life events teach you things that can lead to you improving yourself as a person. As you realize most things in life are provided to you, you never truly realize how much everything can mean. As teenagers most of us are immature and do not realize how easy it is for us to lose everything we have. As we could lose everything and anything in a matter of seconds if we are not careful. It was another typical Monday morning, I had that same feeling I always do when I wake up, dreadly having to get up, use the bathroom, and brush my teeth and get ready for school. It is the same process throughout the whole week until Friday....show more content... The next week was a breeze and it comes down to the night before I had already packed all my stuff that night I was told of the trip. Next morning I woke up bright and early ate breakfast and we headed to the airport. The next few hours were mostly just traveling typical airplane food, only thing that was interesting about the travel was the fact that during one of flights I was sat beside a drunk idiot and then got moved up a few seats and got 3 seats all to myself! When we finally landed in Pakistan it did not look anything different than in Canada. I thought "oh well maybe it looks the same, and is the same" because personally I didn't know much about this place other than the fact I had family here. When we got all our stuff and headed out in a car I noticed nothing different but that might have been due to the fact I was kind of fatigued and the fact we were in a bigger city. On the travel to my cousins I fell asleep, and didn't get woken up until we reached their house. When I got out of the car I was too tired and was way to jetlagged to realize how different things were so I went straight into the house and went back to bed. I mostly slept for the whole first day. As I woke up by my family, they invited me to go out and try out some of the local foods as everything here was very fresh down to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

She went into her friend's house for 5–10 minutes. She returned to her vehicle and noticed her iPod was missing. She called the police. • 16. Example Of A Personal Narrative All throughout my life, my mother has been my guide, my mentor, and my best friend. During my freshman year at Montgomery Blair High School I had decided to try for the girls' varsity Lacrosse team. When I shared the news, my friends flooded me with questions as to why I wanted to try out for the supposedly "white" sport, and my parents simply did not understand what the game was. The phrase "white" sport was not unjustified as there were only two black girls on the team. Playing lacrosse became the first step to my isolation from my team, my friends, and my family . Finding equilibrium between school and lacrosse became challenging and quitting seemed like the easy way out. • 19. Literacy Narrative Essay example At this point in my life I find myself in an interesting predicament regarding my attitudes toward reading and writing; more so towards reading. Years ago I used to love reading books for pleasure but nowadays I find myself reading things that little to no effort to digest. This includes the very basic posts on facebook expressing one's opinion on something or articles and threads on reddit discussing topics I find intriguing. Perhaps it's the severe senioritis that has overcome me as I enter my last semester at Chapman University. As I've gotten lazier I can see it start to reflect in my everyday life. Deep down I still love to read but I rarely find myself getting truly invested into the action unless it relates to something I am very...show more content... You can feed the mind as much as you want and it will never get full of reading. Sadly, I'm not the same person that I was. I guess you could say it's part of growing up. It never really was intentional but it's just the way how it ended up. On the other hand my attitudes toward writing are very different. First let me say that deep down I truly do not like to write. I myself don't personally like to write for leisure or pleasure but rather I write because I believe it is one of the most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, both personally and professionally. To put differently, my attitude towards writing is that I write because I need to write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have to, not because I want to. Hopefully this somewhat makes sense. To better explain let me make a comparison. When I am assigned a writing assignment or I am writing because the action is being forced upon me I find myself not enjoying the process and overall the end result is subpar. The perfect example of this would be my junior year in high school when I was enrolled in AP english literature.
