“The Chef Koochooloo program has
helped transfer our classrooms into
virtual laboratories for exploring all
sorts of STEAM topics. Preparing
food is a daily part of life, which
means that the learning occurs in a
natural, meaningful context—with
delicious results”.
—Nick Prychodko
Principal, DeVargas Elementary
School
Response from Customers (Educators)
“For 3 years, we have enjoyed the
curriculum immensely. This unique
approach ties in cultural diversity to
nutrition, and teaches the kids not
only healthy eating, but create
awareness about the world they live
in and emphasizes social
responsibility.”
— Ayindé Rudolph Ed.D.
Superintendent, Mountain View
Whisman School District
“Reading, math, science, history,
social studies—a Chef Koochooloo
covers it all in the most delicious
way! . It’s learning, but in a way
that’s very different than what kids
are used to, to me this is truly the
definition of innovation in schools.”
— Noa Mendelevitch
Director Of Development,
Helios School
Teacher and Parent Testimonials
“Our students were excited for the program, and became
aware of the health properties of the foods they eat. On
the instructional side, we found the alignment of the app
content with NGSS requirements particularly valuable, by
both students and teachers alike.”

learned so much, and was able to do better in school
because of it. He also learned to love foods that he

Challenge # 1: Teachers struggle with time to include all
subjects they are supposed to teach and to evaluate the
student’s learning. Solution: Ensure the curriculum is aligned
clearly with standards they are trying to adopt (NGSS, NCSS,
Common Core), and helps teachers view/visualize progress.
Challenge #2: Teachers have no time to shop for ingredients
Solution: Ensure we have a partnership with Amazon Fresh,
Google Express, or Instacart in place, and the app allows for
delivery of fresh food.
Challenge #3: Schools have no kitchens Solution: Design
portable kitchens

recipe, which alerts the oven and burners
via bluetooth to adjust the temperature
according to the recipe. Then, users will
get to see in real-time on the app how the
oven is heating up.
● Digital scale weighs food item, sends to app via
Bluetooth
● Using augmented reality (AR) and image recognition
technology the user can identify the food, fruit or
vegetable species within phone or tablet camera
view
● Combined weight and food species information will
produce the specific nutrition information for
whatever food was placed on the Chef Board, and
generates a visual of real-time nutritional information
in Augmented Reality (AR) space.
