INTRODUCTION
What your soul is looking for!
As we all know and have experienced, “Life” is full of
twists, turns, and surprises. As we live out our lives, we face
many hurts, doubts, and problems. The writer of the book
of Ecclesiastes states that time and chance happen to man,
but the Apostles Paul tells us that God works all things to-
gether for our good if we love Him and are called to His
purposes.
I’m sure you would agree that we have many questions
about what to do next, where to go, and why things hap-
pen the way they do. Life doesn’t always go according to
our plans and expectations; our souls cry out at times with
worry, doubt, anxiety, and fear, and “Life” seems burden-
some. So how do we keep moving forward with a positive
attitude, hope, peace, a spirit of joy and contentment in
spite of the unexpected circumstances along the road of
“Life”?
7. ii
Jesus tells us that HE has come to give us life and life
more abundant.
Years ago, while reflecting on my life and the legacy to
my family that would be pleasing to my Savior and LORD
Jesus, the Holy Spirit began ministering to me about legacy
(which, by the way, will be the next eBook I write, God will-
ing, whose working title is Illuminating the Paths of Those
that Follow Us), but I digress. In the process of thinking
about life and legacy, the Holy Spirit dropped this little nug-
get into my consciousness—LIFE = Living In Full Expecta-
tion.
“Living In Full Expectation of what?” I asked. “Of MY
Promises and Presence, which is MY Grace,” He replied,
“For MY Grace is sufficient for you, only MY Grace and MY
Presence will satisfy your soul, and are the pathway to the
abundant life.”
“Expectation,” as I understand it, is the act of looking
forward to a future event with at least some reason to be-
lieve the event will happen. God-given expectation is
founded on some reason, which renders the event proba-
ble, or in the case of God’s Word, certain.
Throughout the Word of God, the Holy Spirit has estab-
lished the expectation that only faith in the finished work
8. iii
of Jesus on the cross—not works or self-effort—is what
makes us righteous and justified in the sight of God, and He
describes faith in greater detail through the writer of the
book of Hebrews.
Faith, my friend, is real, and it is the only way we please
God (Hebrews 11:6). It is how we come to believe that He
is, and that He is the rewarder of those that diligently seek
Him.
Faith is substance and evidence, but only substance and
evidence of things that can’t be seen yet do, in fact, exist.
Some people have mistakenly thought that faith believes in
the notion that something is real when it really isn’t, and if
we believe it hard and long enough, it will become real.
That’s just misplaced fleshly desire and false hope.
There are spiritual realities that do exist, yet are un-
seen; they just exist in a realm that we can’t see or perceive
with our physical five senses. It takes a sixth sense called
faith to perceive them. The carnal mind thinks that some-
thing doesn’t really exist just because it can’t see, taste,
hear, smell, or feel it. (This characterizes walking by sight.)
We can’t see television or radio signals, but they do ex-
ist. All we have to do to prove that is to take a television,
9. iv
plug it in, turn it on, and tune it in to a broadcasting fre-
quency, resulting in the physical proof that something in
the unseen realm exists. The reality is that when we see and
hear the signal, is not the moment that it becomes real. It
was real before. It just existed in a realm that we couldn’t
perceive by our physical five senses, just like electricity or
TV signals. I’ll be the first to admit that I do not understand
electricity. All I know is that when I flip a switch, the light
goes on, or when I plug my TV into an electrical socket, it
turns on. The electricity was there, waiting for me to
EMBRACE it and take advantage of its reality. I don’t know
about you, but I cannot perceive TV signals or electricity
with my five senses; they only manifest their reality when I
plug in and tune in.
Likewise, Jesus has provided everything we will ever
need, which for us is already real. It does exist, but it exists
in a spiritual form and realm that we are unable to perceive
with our five senses; only with the sixth sense of faith can
we perceive, EMBRACE, and then appropriate the promises
of God. We have to believe that these things exist. I believe
that TV signals and electricity exist, confirming that belief
by plugging a TV into an electrical outlet and tuning it to a
station that is broadcasting.
Our faith then becomes that receiver that takes what is
already true in the spiritual realm and makes it physically
10. v
manifest in the natural realm by tuning into what God has
promised us. So, in a way, faith is the plug and God’s prom-
ises are what we tune into.
Without going too deep in this, God says that, faith
gives substance to what we hope for (His promises). If we
lack hope, we can’t exercise our faith. Hope then is the ev-
idence of things not seen i.e., the promises of God—His de-
sired result for our lives. Hope involves our positive imagi-
nations; we desire what we do not yet see.
Therefore, putting all of this together, we have to first
see the desired result (His promise) in our imaginations be-
fore our faith can call it into existence. We all use our imag-
inations; but with most people, it has become a vain imagi-
nation. God gave us an imagination for a reason, and I
believe the Bible is referring to a positive imagination when
it uses the word “hope.” God says, “As a man thinks in his
heart, so is he.”
Just as we embrace electricity and TV signals by plug-
ging in and tuning in, so we “EMBRACE GOD’S GRACE —
HIS PROMISES” by plugging in with our faith and tuning
into His promises for us.
Now the “Ace” in our “Race” becomes His “Grace.”
11. vi
Thankfully, God keeps all of His promises, for He is not
a man that He should lie or say something that He cannot
deliver. His promises are made to YOU personally!
One of His greatest promises is that His Word will last
FOREVER (Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 24:35, 1 Peter 1:23-25). I
bring this up because human promises most often fail and
disappoint us (ask me how I know); God’s promises, how-
ever, sustain us. They are what our souls are looking for.
They provide guidance, teaching, encouragement, for-
giveness, joy, and the confidence of a secured future in
Christ. They cover EVERY area of our lives and number well
over 600, I’m told.
While this e-Book isn’t a complete, nor even an exhaus-
tive, presentation of God’s promises, the point is to aid and
encourage you in taking them personally. The hope is that
you will use this e-Book presentation as a springboard to
fully EMBRACE HIS GRACE and search out the depth,
height, and width of God’s riches toward YOU because this
is what our souls are searching for.

GOD PROMISES A JOURNEY
OF FAITH
Let’s consider God’s servant Mary.
An old Chinese proverb states that a journey of a thou-
sand miles begins with the first step. For the purposes of
wanting to keep this simple, I am going to offer you this
simple overview of the process for the faith journey:
→ A WORD OF PROMISE
→ YOUR EXPECTATIONS
→ CONFUSION
→ WONDERING AND WANDERING
→ FAITH LEADING TO PROMISES FULFILLED
Generally speaking, when we start a journey, we start
with the end in mind.
13. God Promises a Journey of Faith
2
All of the Old Testament saints referred to in chapter 11
of the Book of Hebrews (Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sa-
rah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak,
Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets) ex-
hibited faith that pleased God. They were all looking for-
ward to the promise of redemption that didn’t come in
their lifetimes. In a sense, all their faith was on credit (i.e.,
that God would come and redeem them in the future).
Today as participants in the New Testament, we have
already received our redemption. We, however, aren’t
saved by looking forward but rather by looking back at
what is already a reality. How much more, then, should we
trust in the Lord?
“It is written . . . It is FINISHED” WOW, that’ll preach!
Regarding the promises of God, let’s consider Mary.
The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have
found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a
son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will
be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give
him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over
Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end”
(Luke 1:30-33 NIV).
14. God Promises a Journey of Faith
3
Notice the Angel did not say:
Do not be afraid because most people will not under-
stand what I’m about to tell you and what you are about to
go through. Your whole life will be disrupted and your initial
joy will turn to sorrow before God is finished you. Your son
will be misunderstood, mocked, rejected by many and then
He will be beaten and crucified right before your very eyes.
No, the angel said to Mary,
“You have found FAVOR with God . . .”
“You will conceive and give birth to a Son . . .”
“He will be great . . .”
“He will be given a throne . . .”
“He will reign and His kingdom will never end.”
The Angel only mentioned the end game, not the jour-
ney.
None of us can really know what was going through
Mary’s mind as her life with Jesus unfolded, but given what
we’ve all experienced, we can only imagine what thoughts
may have flooded her mind at times: Confusion, fear,
15. God Promises a Journey of Faith
4
worry, anxiety, doubt, and perhaps questioning that she
might have heard God wrong. Or how about, “This isn’t
what I was expecting!”
Have you ever felt that way? Maybe you even do today?
(I know I’m driving in someone’s neighborhood right now!)
Here are a couple of things we can learn from Mary’s
life:
1] Just because what God has said to us doesn’t
look the way we might have pictured or ex-
pected, doesn’t mean it’s not real or won’t come
to pass.
Listen, we see that Jesus is indeed great and is in fact
the Central Person in all of the history of mankind. He does
have a throne and is actually sitting at the Right Hand of
the Father. He is reigning over a Kingdom—His Kingdom—
which will never end.
It just didn’t happen the way Mary probably expected.
So what got her through it all? We know that Mary was a
woman of great faith like Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sa-
rah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak,
Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets be-
fore her.
16. God Promises a Journey of Faith
5
2] Then Mary SAID, “Behold, I am the handmaiden
of the Lord; let it be done to me according to what
you have said. And the angel left her” (Luke 1:38
AMP).
One can only imagine Mary, in keeping with her human-
ity and cultural constraints, might have kept repeating
those same words to herself just as she did when the angel
first spoke to her. Perhaps she softly spoke them as she
leaned over the manger. Maybe she uttered it every time
she overheard rumors and gossip about Jesus as she stood
in the local market. I wonder if she offered it as a cry of
grief and surrender at the foot of the cross.
“I am a servant of the Most High God, an Ambassador of
Christ, let it be done unto me according to Your will” It is the
one prayer we must never stop praying on the road to our
God-given hopes and dreams.
I WANT TO INVITE YOU TO MAKE A CHANGE IN ORDER TO
ENCOUNTER THE LOVE OF GOD THROUGH “EMBRACING HIS
GRACE.” OPEN UP TO HIS LOVE ENCOUNTER. RELEASE HIS SPIRIT
LIVING IN YOU TO TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE—THE WAY YOU THINK,
THE WAY YOU ACT, YOUR EMOTIONS, YOUR FEELINGS, YOUR
HEALTH, YOUR FINANCES, YOUR RELATIONSHIPS, ETC.
17. God Promises a Journey of Faith
6
Today is a new day to EMBRACE the Promises of God
for your life because it is salvation to your soul, health to
your body, and healing to your relationships. It focuses
your eyes on the LORD and keeps you in perfect peace (not
to mention our Joy being complete, John 16:23-24).
Regarding this change:
ARE YOU IN OR ARE YOU OUT? ARE YOU READY?
This Book of the Law [The Ways of God] shall not
depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate
on it day and night, that you may observe and do
according to all that is written in it. For then you
shall make your way prosperous, and then you
shall deal wisely and have good success (Joshua 1:8
AMP).
Now this is personal!

EMBRACING GOD’S AMAZING
GRACE
Your Love never fails; it never gives up;
it never gives up on me.
Nothing can separate me from Your great love! Your
Love goes on and on. It overwhelms and satisfies my soul.
This one thing remains—Your Love Never Fails. Your Grace
never fails. This is unfailing love that You would take my
place, that you would lay down Your life, that I would be
set free; worthy is the Lamb who was slain and the King
who conquered the grave. All that You’ve done for me . . .
You’re the One that guides my heart and satisfies my soul.
Lord, I need you! Where Grace is found is where You are.
You are my Portion, Provider, Provision, Hope, Righteous-
ness, Defense, Encourager, Comforter, Savior, and LORD.
Your love is better than life.
My heart is amazed from one day to the next. All of
Your promises won’t let go of me.

32. Embracing God’s Amazing Grace
21
When we actually confess (confess with your mouth and
believe in your heart) God’s promises over our lives, we set
the supernatural into motion. We walk by faith, not by
sight, as we walk from earth into eternity.
33. 22
ONE THING REMAINS
Prayer
Pray this with me:
“I want to tell you Jesus You are my heart’s desire . . .
You are the only One that can fill me up . . . only You
can fully satisfy the deepest places in my heart. You
are my heart’s desire & I choose to live to know You
more!
I want to know You, let Your Spirit overwhelm me let
Your Presence overtake my heart.
Great is your faithfulness.
I am yours . . . I belong to you . . . Seeking Your Truth as
Your servant and ambassador, forgetting what lies
behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I
press on toward the goal to win the prize belonging
to my calling from above by God.”

To share this love across the earth, the beauty of
Your holy worth
So I kneel before You, God
I lift my hands cause You set me free
†
So I shout out Your name, from the rooftops I
proclaim
That I am Yours, I am Yours
All that I am, I place into Your loving hands
And I am Yours, I am Yours
†
Here I am, I stand, with arms wide open
To the One, the Son, the Everlasting God”
