Ricardo Arjona is a successful Latin American singer and songwriter from Guatemala. He learned to play guitar from his father at age seven and started writing his own songs. At age 12, he participated in a singing contest in Guatemala. After graduating from university with a degree in architecture, he pursued a career in music. Arjona produces Latin pop, pop rock, ballads and a cappella music. Some of his most successful albums include Jesus: Verso no sustantivo, Animal Nocturno, and Historias, which helped establish him as one of the most popular Latin artists in Central and South America.
