  1. Excited about this day, ETC going well, enthusiasm and risk taking and modeling for others\n\n
  2. \nSo why are we here? Why are we hearing about technology integration in the curriculum?\n
  3. Our kids are connected and social learners. A lot of times we’re asking them to disconnect when they come to school. They’re creating outside of school b/c they’re not allowed to do it inside.\n

  5. They’re starting youtube channels, blogging, on Facebook, uploading and editing photos and movies... creating a digital footprint. We need to be there to guide their actions in a positive way. \n
  6. What do we want our classrooms to look like? “Education” as it was? Or how it should be, and IS, everyday for our students? Those days are gone. We need to attend to these new literacies. \n
  7. Collaboration and connections are huge. We are no longer the sources of information. Kids don’t need us for that. They can Google it. They need to be allowed to engage in experiences that help them think critically, create, and collaborate. \n
  8. This could be you. Focus on the learning you’re currently doing. Not the planning- the learning. Where are you going to continue your learning? If you’re waiting around for these types of days, you’re missing the boat. Connections are out there, waiting to be explored. \n
  9. Today is not about the tools, although the tools help make these 4 Cs happen. As you learn about new technologies today, be sure to contemplate how their use can impact student learning. How they can replace a more antiquated way of doing things. Not IN ADDITION to.\n
  10. This is a successful model for rolling it out. Model for your students.\nStudents who are able can model for the class.\nYou are not always the “I.” Find your experts, use the kids to lead the way.\n
