2. Isaac Newton was born in 1643 in Woolsthrope on
January 4th.
His dad died 3 months before he was born.
Newton lived in a family of farmers.
Isaac’s mom married Barnabas Smith when he was 2
years old who then left Isaac in the care of his
maternal grandmother.
3. Isaac’s stepdad died when he was 10 years old.
When Isaac was old enough, he attended free
Grammar school in Grantham.
Isaac was a very smart and mischievous young man.
At school he was very confident and on every bench he
sat on he wrote his name on it.
4. There was a mill built outside his school and he was so
fascinated in it that he built a replica of it at home.
Because it was reliant on wind, he put a sail on it.
During the winter to get to school, Newton built a
paper fire that lit the way to school.
5. He started college in 1661 at Trinity College.
The year after Newton left college, the college shut
down.
Two years after college, Newton continued to progress
in getting smarter.
