2.  Establishing shot. The first shot we see is a shot of the band and
then the lead singer who starts talking to the camera. The director
has chosen to show this shot first because it shows the audience the
lead singer and where the video is taking place.
 Medium shot of thee drummer winking at the at one of the cameras.
The director has used this particular shot to show the audience how
much the drummer is enjoying himself or he used it because he
wanted the audience to see the drummer showing off.
 The director also used a lot of high angle shots. These were used to
show off the set and to show more of the band. The director also
combines these high angles shots with some zoom in and out shots.
He chose to zoom in on the bands members to show the audience
what the band members are doing.

3.  The director has chosen to use a specific type of editing technique in
this video. The director has used jump cuts throughout this video
because each shot is similar to the next. As a result of using jump
cuts the music video jumps from scene to scene smoother.

4.  Costume : the band are wearing very casual clothes. The chose of clothes in
this music video differ from the other to videos for one reason, when the
band put this music video together they were relatively unknown so they
didn’t have to care about how they looked as they had no stylists to dress
them like they did in the other two videos.
 Setting : the music video takes place in a studio so the only light in the whole
video is artificial. Multi-coloured filters have also been added to the lights,
the director has done this to achieve different lighting effects e.g. seeing
which colours better light the bands faces.
 Props : the main props that are used are the bands instruments and the
cameras and booms used by the crew.

5.  The only talking in the whole video is at the beginning when the lead
singer tells the audience the name of the song. This is diagetic
sound as it exists within the world of the music video.
 The video starts off with one long band solo in fact this is why the
song is so popular with the viewers. The solo’s tempo starts of slow
and then builds up faster and faster, then it slows down for the start
of the first verse. The rest of the song follows this same tempo slow
in the verse fast in the chorus.
