• Lisa Pietsch has been a passionate tequila enthusiast
since 1989 and a social media manager and strategist
since 1999.
• She began by building communities like Families.com
from 20 to 20,000 members within 1 year's time,
becoming a sought after community builder, social
media manager, author, and speaker.
• In 2012, Lisa Pietsch partnered with Mike Morales and
Alex Perez to make Tequila Aficionado Media the largest,
most active and engaged website and social networks
dedicated exclusively to craft tequila and Mexican spirits.
• Now, Lisa is available to help you do the same for your
Tequila brand

SET IT UP

• Create a Twitter Account for your brand to include:
• Brand Name
• Brand Bio
• Try to stay away from the standard blah bio most new
tequilas use “The best, smoothest, super premium tequila in
the world”. It lacks imagination and will NOT set you apart.
• Link to your website
• If you don’t have a website, link to the selling page for
your brand on your preferred retailer’s website
ADD SOME FLAIR

• Add your icon to Twitter
• Ensure this is consistent with the icon image you use in all
your social networks
• Add your branded header to Twitter
• Again, this should be consistent with your other social
networks and website
MEET THE RIGHT PEOPLE

• Start following Twitter users in the industry as well as
aficionados
• Following other brands on Twitter won’t be construed as an
endorsement but will help you stay on top of what they’re
doing on social media
• Following industry influencers is a great way to connect with
your ideal consumer
• Of course, you should always follow Tequila Aficionado

• Post 1-10 times daily
• The amount of noise on Twitter demands that those who
want their posts to be seen should post several times per day.
The day is long and the feed is busy so 10 times per day is
the ideal
• Engage your followers in conversation daily
• Remember to check your notifications to see who tweeted
you, responded to you, or mentioned you on Twitter
• Respond and engage your followers as much as possible
