2. Save a Web Page
You can “take a picture” of a web site and save it
to your USB Drive (flash drive, thumb drive, etc.)
The slides that follow will show you how to save
a web page or a PDF document to your flash
drive.
3. Save a Web Page
To save your web page, click
file…

Be sure your USB drive is
plugged in, then select my
computer to find your drive.
Find your drive on the
list, and then double
click on your drive…
6. Save a Web Page
Your drive or folder should now appear at the top of the
window. Give your document a name that makes sense
to you, and then click save. (Avoid special characters in
the name.)
7. Save a Web Page
Make sure that your
document was saved
successfully.
Open My Computer. (This
will look different for
different versions of
windows.)
8. Save a Web Page
Find your USB drive and
double-click…
9. Save a Web Page
Find your document, and
double-click.
10. Save a Web Page
This should successfully open
your web page.
11. Save a PDF Document
PDF documents are saved in a similar way. First
click file. (Note that this depends on your PDF
reader – so may have a disk symbol that you
can click on.)

Be sure your USB drive is
plugged in, then select my
computer to find your drive.
Find your drive on the
list, and then double
click on your drive…
14. Save a PDF Document
Your drive or folder should now appear at the top of
the window. Give your document a name that makes
sense to you, and then click save. (Avoid special
characters in the name.)
