The Little Church of the West in Las Vegas is an award-winning chapel that performs countless marriage ceremonies each year. The chapel has been in operation since 1942 and has the distinction of being the oldest standing structure on the main "Strip." Some of the notable couples married at The Little Church of the West include Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford, Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton, and Judy Garland and Mark Herron. The chapel is now the only building on the Las Vegas "Strip" that is included in the National Registry of Historic Places. As a historic structure, the church retains its original pews from the 1940s as well as Victorian lamps repurposed from cable cars.
