2. Cloud Computing is an internet based technology that allows companies (or even consumers) to access a secure virtual private network through the internet, which houses a large storage space of client-specific hardware or software.
3. Cloud Computing, sometimes called "software as a service", allows for individuals and corporations to leverage the Internet to save money and to offer services to the entire world. There are 1000's of new cloud computing companies offering services that did not exist just a few years ago.
4. The storage space is called the cloud. As the data is compacted, only one file is listed in the directory, and it contains all the data from the users computer. Due to the reduction in file size there is an abundance of storage capacity in the cloud. The computers sitting at each desk would be similar to thin clients used in the 90’s. Given the bandwidth and speed of the service, most end-users will not know if they are storing data on a local network or a cloud network.

7. The offering and deployment of public and private clouds has already begun. Cloud Computing could easily be the next disruptive technology blooming on the horizon. In the future, Cloud Computing will soon be referred to as simply 'computing' and the definition will be "computing over the internet."
