Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson
Born on 18th July 1950 in Blackheath, London.
He is an English business magnate and investor.
Founder & CEO of Virgin Group which contains around 300 companies
of cost over $ 25 billion and total 55,000 employees.

5. How he began from bottom to top
At the age of16, dropped out from school and moved to London and launch
“Student Magazine”, which did relatively more success.
At the age of 19, founded the “Virgin mail order record company”. Success In
selling mail order records, opening of a record shop then launched own record
label i.e. Virgin Records.

Branson said that he did not run his businesses by strategies. Instead,
he keeps a “to do” list, that he writes at the beginning of each day.
Size dose matter : you need to challenge and compete with big brands
to become big yourself.

Branson is also known for his personal adventures…
In 1986, smashed the world record for the fastest crossing of the
Atlantic by using Virgin Atlantic Challenger.
In 1987/1991, crossed the Atlantic ocean in the Virgin Atlantic Flyer,
which was the first and largest hot air balloon.
In 2004, set a record by crossing the English channel between
Britain and France on an amphibious vessel.

In 1993, Mr Branson was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of
Technology from Loughborough University.
In 2000, Branson received the Tony Jannus Award for his
accomplishments in commercial air transportation.
In 2007's Time Magazine ranked his as a Top 100 Most Influential
People in the World.
In 2014, Branson received the 2014 Business for Peace Award.
