The LIFE Center: In 1998, Lois Pope partnered with
the University of Miami to found the Lois Pope LIFE
Center. Thanks to a $10 million donation from Mrs.
Pope, the Lois Pope LIFE Center established The
Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, considered the
world’s leading facility for catastrophic neurological
research.

4. Humanitarian Aid Furnished by The

Sudan Genocide Response Team: Thanks to an
annual $50,000 grant, the Community of Sudanese
American Women/Men works to help young refugee
women in the Sudan region. The grant helps
displaced women and their families move to the
United States to start new lives.
