This magazine has one main image in the middle of the rapper J Cole
with a main headline about his new album the publisher uses quotes
about the album to emphasis the quality and what people are saying
about the album so that the reader will want to read on about the
album as it is highly rated. The main colours that are yellow black and
white. There is writing at the top that is a large font which would be
seen as a title. Another place there is writing is in the centre it is in the
centre to be emphasised that this is the main subject of the magazine.
There is also writing on the right of the page and the bottom in a
smaller font this is to show the other subjects that are involved in the
magazine. The target audience is for around 16+ aged people I know
this because the music it is based on can be seen as quite explicit and it
would also be aimed at people with a interest in rap music. The model
is in black and white which is the same colour of his album cover which
is the main subject of the magazine by putting him in black and white
he also blends in nicely with theme off the magazine. It is typical of its
brand name as its brand name is ‘RAPSTARS’ and the magazine is about
artist with in the rap/hip hop industry. I think the most effective thing
they’ve done in this magazine is made the artist in black and white
which links in with his new album cover.
The magazine cover I have chosen has one main big title of the
magazine name and a lot of smaller writing all over the page to give the
reader an insight to what will be inside the magazine. The main colours
used on the magazine are white blue and pink. The writing is at the top
of the page and down the right and left side of it. The target audience
would be for people who are fans as Kanye west as he is the main
theme of the magazine and general music lovers as u can see there is a
variety of musicians in the magazine. The model looks very serious in
the photo and is wearing a jacket that fits in with the theme of the
magazine as it is the same colours. The most effective thing about this
magazine is the amount of writing on it as this could attract the reader
by showing them the variety of things that are in this magazine.
