learners. Students will have additional
opportunities throughout the year to
participate in Pre-AP projects that push them
to their potential.

The Connected Mathematics Project is a math
curriculum that focuses on real-life applications
and problem solving. The lessons provide

extend mathematical thinking.

Reader’s/Writer’s Workshop
• Increases student engagement
• Allows for small group and individual instruction
• Meets each student at their developmental level
• Teacher models and gradually releases
responsibility to students

• Flex Time
Some students have a flex period during which they
work on enrichment activities or receive extra
help on assignments. Teachers on each team
determine how that time is spent to benefit
individual student needs.

yball, physical
education, art, health, keyboarding, and
CT/CO (Computer Technology/Career
Orientation), are all offered to help students
explore their talents and maintain physical
